No way the seafood was anywhere near cold. And why did he reheat the cooked crab only to cool it down again?

Epically awesome indeed Andrew. Fresh seafood is, for me, the best food to enjoy. So very different from the Lutefisk or Hakarl you turned us onto (off, actually) so many years ago. Subscribed.

Can anyone please explain what is the point of steaming cooked crabs to “warm them” and then immediately submerging them in ice?

Uh oh! I saw some already open mussels when he put them in! And the rubber bands should be removed from the lobster before cooking, they affect the flavor.

This plateau will be expensive but not $300-400 (unless you go to a very fancy restaurant). In addition, if you do it yourself, it is definitely not going to be under $100 (close to $150; depending on where you live, of course). In the end, you will probably save $50-100 and end up spending close to 2 hours buying, cleaning, cooking, and garnishing.

Reminds me of those bugs bunny cartoons where some bushman try to cook human in pot using all vegetables n boil. This is the lamest way to cook.
