Andy Pandy is another unlucky Grand National runner in the vein of Crisp. Such a shame he never had another season like 76/77

@@jtyt1123 Hi J.T , Quite agree with you sir and I would buy too..Andy Pandy was a Fab chaser and in my view would of won the 77 National ' if he had stood up at 2nd Bechers. He and the late John Burke would have got the better of Red Rum on speed over the final 2 fences but as my late dad ust to say Ifs n buts and hard luck falls don't win Grand national s ..Kind regards Glynn n Greetings from Stourbridge West Midlands UK 🤝

@@glynnevans1851 absolutely right Glynn. Fred Rimell said before the National that his horse was bold over fences and fast on the flat and would win the National. He also added that the only fence he was wary of was Becher’s Brook! He said it wasn’t a fence but an abomination with the drop on the landing side a work of evil! When it lost and he brought it out for the Whitbread Gold Cup I knew that it would win and even though I was only 20 I got every available penny I had and lumped on @ 4/1. What a feeling when he jumped the last like Pegasus and pulled clear up the hill! What memories!

@@johnmanning5568 Hi John , Thanks for your reply. Fab times then for National Hunt racing. Do you remember 1974 Whitbread when Lord Oaksey and Proud Tarquin lost the race in the stewards room to Ron Barry and The Dikler a total in justice and John Lawrence took it on the chin like a gentleman. Although I backed the Dikler I was amazed too.Kind regards Glynn
