In this Physics video lecture in Hindi for class 11 we explained angular momentum, its formula and law of conservation of angular momentum. We also interrelated angular momentum with linear momentum. We saw in the formula that the angular momentum of a rotating body is the product of its moment of inertia and its angular velocity. We also found that torque is the rate of change in angular momentum, as force is the rate of change of linear momentum. Linear momentum is the cross product of the position vector and the linear momentum, as torque is the cross product of the position vector and the force.
Law of conservation of angular momentum states that for isolated system of bodies the net angular momentum is conserved.
