He was over confident and arrogant. you could see that in the buildup interviews. I never thought AJ had a chance if Dubois came out like he did in the last two fights, AJ can't take the punches and has shown that in the past and now he has reinforced it. The biggest point for Dubois was his game plan. Dubois's plan was just to throw the kitchen sink at Joshua, get his respect with an early, heavy right hand and keep him on his back foot. Its absolutely genius. When was the last time AJ was put on his back foot like that? In fact, when has anyone just bullied AJ? AJ was so shocked by the ferocity of Dubois, he didnt know what to do. You can tell AJ trained for a slow, careful fight. When he got this, he was just a fish out of water. That Jab of DDD's was just the icing on the cake. It looked absolutely devastating. I have nothing against AJ by the way, he went out on his shield and he has given us some great fights. He should bow out on this devastating loss, spend time with his family and enjoy his generational wealth. Things would only get worse for Anthony at this point. There's no need to take more punishment.

The look on his face was different from previous fights. He looked beaten even before stepping into the ring. (?) Just by reading the body language of both fighters, I changed my prediction! AJ was terrible! No defence and no confidence from the very start of the fight! He was running scared of Dubois. This is maybe the approach to take to beat AJ: Stick it on him straight away. Klitchko was stopped numerous times , Joe Louis was stopped. These heavyweights are massive and if you have your hands down without any movement you’ll get chinned. Dubios caught Joshua with an absolute peach bang on the chin in the first round and he went for it none stop and Joshua never recovered and how he kept getting up I don’t know but Dubios was definitely slowing and was hurt when he landed a perfect counter when Joshua was coming in …..that’s it . I’d not be surprised if Joshua won a rematch in similar fashion because these two are bangers but it’s a big ask . I’m now listening to Gman , Hatman , Froch ect all talking utter nonsense . If Joshua wasn’t prepared he’d have never got up after the first knockdown , Joshua didn’t move at all like he’s done in his last 2 fights and was very poor but Dubios was brilliant but he did exactly what we thought he’d do but Joshua didn’t

The problem is every time Joshua has been hurt is when he's hurt someone else and got to brave for his own good going back to the Whyte fight, he's never learnt to be defensively responsible or how to adapt mid fight. Doesn't help people bought into the hype of him being "back" because he crushed some cans since his losses to Usyk. Dubois landed the perfect counter because AJ was throwing stupid punches from out of range and presenting his chin being defensively irresponsible as usual.

Stood upright, hands were low, kept moving onto the right hand and would step back when Dubois came rushing forwards. Also felt like Joshua's punches were largely negated by his low guard (hands in close, at about chest level) vs Dubois having his hands up and further out from himself - it was almost like Joshua couldn't "get past" Dubois' gloves or arms when he'd try punching, so it effectively suppressed him. He felt like his shots were being blocked/parried and it stopped him throwing as often as he should or with the power he should. Those were the things that stood out to me for AJ, how much of that can be changed before a rematch is anyone's guess. I'm still amazed that there's even a rematch clause for AJ at all.

It was a dreadful performance. I'm going to have to watch it again to enjoy it properly. I ended up pissed off, not because I'm a Joshua fan by any means, and not because I gave Dubois no chance because I certainly did, but because Joshua was so bad he made me look like a total mug picking him to win! 😂 The more I think about it, the more I think I should have listened to the little voice in my head saying the drop in his activity rate was bad management. He looked good after a year of consistent activity, but they then had him sat on his arse fir 8 months after 5 minutes in with a novice, while Dubois git out again against Hrgovic and got good rounds in. They could very, very easily have got Joshua out again in April or May, and activity is key for a guy like Joshua who isn't exactly a natural. He was rushed early in his career after only 40 odd fights as an amateur, then becomes a champ in his 16th pro fight and is out at most twice a year from then on. If there is ever a poster boy for the pitfalls of inactivity it's AJ. Fuck the suits, fuck the promoters and the TV networks, if you want to be at your best you NEED to be out AT LEAST 3, preferably 4 times a year. The basic, fundamental mistakes Joshua was making, at this stage of his career with this much at stake, were unforgivable. That's not to take anything away from Dubois at all by the way! He was way, way better than I predicted, produced a massive performance on the biggest possible stage and he absolutely smashed it. Crushing performance, and much humble pie is being eaten this morning! Congratulations DDD! 👏

Exactly. He should have stayed active and up the level of opponents constantly. Hearn ruined him with his plans. Heqrn always rushed AJ and not giving him the proper and active fights he needs to develop fully. AJ was absolutely cold in there. Hearn just decided to cash out on AJ and trying to makw him fight for a title, and make AJ step aside from fighting regularly.

Don't want a rematch and hate the way Eddie Hearn always has them. He has no right for one as the fight was not close. Want to see Dubois move onto other deserving competitors like Parker, Zhang, Bakole and Kabayel etc.. AJ, if he wants to continue, should look into Wilder / Whyte / Joyce

The first thing is AJ does not control his destiny anymore. Warren said December for Dubois next fight. If he wants the rematch be ready. I don't think so. That schedule makes sense as you can put on a new reunification fight in April. AJ probably has to know how to rebuild. Think British title.go for a Lonsdale belt. Even a Fury fight there brings in tens of millions. What motivates AJ it would appear he has managed his money well. He therefore does not need money for his family what are his personal arrangements, that all seems a mystery. If you think back to Lennox Lewis he found love and stability and retired when ahead.

Hearn will bring out the excuses to legitimise the performance and pave the way for a lucrative rematch. He's not ready to kill his cash cow.

I thought Dubois might win because he was badly concussed by Usyk twice and hadn't fought anyone good. Dubois had a couple of tough fights to prepare. However, I couldn't believe how upright AJ fought. He had no defence from Dubios' right hand. Ben Davison doesn't come out of this looking good. I was going to put money on Dubois but I wasn't sure enough.

Dubious' win is somewhat diminished by AJ's horrible performance! AJ's corner sucks...no obvious adjustments like KEEP YOUR LEFT UP...didn't even splash him with water after the first knockdown as would be expected?! Unbelievable...as Usyk's trainer would later comment this was a "dream for ANY heavy weight" (an opponent who backs away straight up with his hands at his chest -- CHIN TOTALLY OPEN). Should've been "On-the-phone" to guard against the right hand, especially after getting clipped! And who throws an uppercut from midrange in such a situation, especially with the left hand down! AJ's team let him down...Ben Davison lost a lot of credibility. AJ and his team looked like a bunch of AMATEURS!

Laughable the way AJ was gesticulating and posturing whilst being COUNTED by the referee as if he was the guy standing OVER soneone. Bizarre. Surely Anthony knew he was in deep shit. Who was he trying to kid? Us or himself?

I predicted Dubois to win by Ko, but I believe AJ can win a rematch. It’s a 50/50 on who lands big fist. We know AJ can hurt DD as shown in the 5th. If AJ can land big early, he can compound the damage by more big shots the same way DD won last night. But whether AJ has the confidence to land big early after a series of losses now, hard to say.

This is daniels time, he opened the gates to a new era, this is an end of an era. Everything comes to an end. Daniel exposed Joshua. It's disgusting how bandwagoners never gave duboi a chance and now are kissing his rear end, you mocked daniel and never believed in him like us true fans did and still do. Duboi is the future of boxing, I'm so happy I have screenshots of hypocrites never giving daniel a chance and are now either quiet or being fake. Duboi is the real deal

Last night was an emphatic beatdown by a more spirited and determined boxer by DDD. You couldn't even bill AJs performance as a gatekeeper. He looked like he had forgotten how to box. Where were the fundamentals!!? But that said, Joshua has been a posterboy for the sport. Reasonably eloquent and assured. He rode his luck at times, had some decent battles along the way until the wheels started coming off. But he can walk away having been a popular icon and 2 time world champion. AJ should retire and walk into the next phase of his life with his head held high.

You got it wrong Gman - there should totally be a rematch and I bet on AJ This was just an accident - a catastrophe this match. The game plan was very very bad. Hands low, chin up, loading the right hand like he was fighting Francis N. And it was also a bit of luck - DD hit him early. AJ caught DD later - if the game had started with AJ catching him first.. So I totally want to see AJ taking the rematch where he box DD. DD is very poor boxer - if AJ plays like in Usyk2 or Ruiz 2 - play box - he wins because AJ is a better boxer. As for DD - if he could choose I would like him to take a step back, gain some experience, and find an easier fight for his next fight. I would love to see DD vs Joy J actually. It is an easy fight for DD (on paper - not so sure in reality). DD needs to avenge his loss so he can justify this "easier" fight and Joy J gets another chance like he should have really.

I said in your live chat before the fight 'Dubois by KO!!' Think you might have seen it but I missed what you said. I definitely wasn't expecting it to go like that though. Thought there would be more back and forth. Great fight by Dubois. Doesn't mean he will win the rematch though.

Hergovic is underrated and was avoided for a reason. That was a sign AJ may be in trouble. That and the easy run he took after the Usyk losses. You don't have to look for reasons other than DD being too much for him now.

When was AJ faced against a decent puncher since Ruiz? Matchmaking can do wonders if you're rebuilding a cashcow. Joshua collapses under preassure and doesn't have surgeon type backhand like Lewis or Klit to prevert that preassure.

It's not an issue of crowds, stadium, venue etc. It's the fact he doesn't have that warrior spirit when under the kosh. He only showed that once vs klitschko, a decade ago. He lacks that and confidence when against someone of duboiss level. Beating up on shit competition isn't where he struggles.

Way too many mistakes from AJ. He could not implement all the things he learned from other trainers. The last sequence of exchange was ridiculous. All he needed to do was check DD right hand with his left jab and shoot his right. He went for uppercut instead.😢. He just needed a sequence like he did on Heleniius to get the stoppage.

Gman , whats your thoughts on the M Tyson effect. I know Dubois doesn't use peakabpo etc , but the aggressive, fast , powerful attributes most definitely are. The boots , shorts , and cape too. We've seen since Ruiz , Joshua does NOT like a fast paced , sustained attack . Your right dude , coming back from this one is hardly likely sometime soon . Joshua also spends a huge amount of time worrying about what the crowd think of him . He is very insecure

AJ was seriously buzzed early. He was done from that point on. His defence, footwork, stance everything was messed up after that. (Yes his chin was out for the Dubois right that started it all). But really, there’s not much that can be drawn from how AJ fought as he was fighting on instinct not with thought. Really disappointing for AJ fans. Possible opponents will follow the Dubois playbook and show no respect in future fights. I would be happy to see AJ retire. If he fights again, will he be safety first and unconfident like he was after Ruiz?

once AJ had his brains scrambled in the first round he never really recovered and couldn't think clearly to fight effectively the faults were because he was out on his feet for most of the fight you cant correct a fault if your concussed and confused and way to slow to react
