This is really interesting. I am from the Diné (navajo) tribe from the US. The dressing of the women is similar to how we dress traditionally. Especially how a woman’s hair is tied. We use the same yarn, white. The yarn sticking out symbolizes an unmarried woman. Yarn not sticking out is a married woman. The jewelry worn is almost in the same style as well. We use the turquoise stones. I noticed the dances as well. Almost similar as well to my tribe. Same with the shawl women (by the rich Ao woman), before we met the Europeans women would wear a rugged dress with a rug styled shawl around us. We still do this to this day. I found some similarities between the Ao men and Diné men as well.

real history of the ao nagas authenticated by other nieghbouring tribes of present nagaland state and manipur will reveal the real blood and linguistic root of Ao tribe.I do hope that young Ao naga researchers of NU will endeavour and press on to find true blood relationship of AO nagas with other Nagas too !??? and not feel any exclusive and seperateness with our other naga brothers bcoz of mythology..I hope a great future lies ahead of the AO nagas bcoz of thier broad intellectual capacity and not fall into the mental trap set by myths spun by uneducated old village headman of some domineering voilent big villages and additional poisoned paraphrased strange origin stories written by some very smartie PEDANDIC PH.D FOGgies about the AO nagas history.GOD blizz shri M kichu.Indeed truth will set u free!
