Mikel, after you shared the 10,000 word list idea the other day I got straight to work with it. I think in combination with Language Islands it is GOLD. I decided to use them as my listen and repeat sentences, as an audio file to listen to passively (while exercising today), and to learn the vocab. I did it exactly as you shared on the screen i.e. the word and then the sentence (Dog. The dog ate my homework.) What I liked right away was not stressing about the other words in the sentence I might not know but listening to where the core word came and if I understood it. I realised that whilst focussing on that word and getting the reps in I will acquire a lot of additional vocabulary (from the sentence the word is in) passively. Great addition to the toolbox. Thank you as ever, AR.

Did you only focus on hearing the core vocabulary word and being able to recognize it in a sentence?

@@user-ie3vj9fm9y Just to clarify: You didn't pay attention to ANY other words around it? Just locating the target vocabulary word?

Happy to hear you're getting results. This is what happens when you actually follow the advice.

@@kokok1718 yes as this exercise I'm just using for learning and drilling the 10k words. However I get the added win of listen and repeat (tuning my ear and my pronunciation) AND reinforcing some words I already know and absorbing new ones 'passively', almost by accident. I think of it like the gym and getting the reps in. It's like comprehensive input on 'juice' (steroids). Mikel gives the secrets openly again.

Does one get the google sheet of sentences, nouns, verbs, and adjectives with the free course, or is it reserved for your paid course?

Hello is there such a thing as a mnemonics dictionary for an array of languages?

PLEASE debunk the video "Exposing fake polyglots: Warning signs and red flags" by languagejones. It just came out a few hours ago and it's full of b*llshit. Good content material for you.

I just saw it on my feed right before reading your comment. I'll watch later and maybe make a reaction video.
