I love Waterslide....I recently bought a laser printer, it's so much easier to not have to spend time and money on spray sealers. I love the cute design on your cup...how sweet x

How long does it last? Do you have to seal it after?

Epoxy. I use FX Standard that I get from Amazon. You need to keep the epoxy moving while it cures. I have 2 videos on hand turning the cup for epoxy that might help.

Where could I find instruction from very beginning type of paper, printer etc? I’ve never done water slide but really want to learn.

Freddie Hager ... I buy Blinggasm water slide from Amazon (free shipping with Prime) or Blinggasm.com. Be sure to order the type paper you need for your printer. They have it for ink jet and laser. I mainly use clear since I can't get my cutter to recognize the white. Clear is good on light backgrounds. Print, seal with 3 or 4 light coats of clear spray paint, let that dry and cut around your decal. Hope that helps.

I am going to do a half glitter mug with a water slide decal then epoxy. Was wondering if I should do the glitter first or the water slide first then epoxy or no difference?

Lois Laney as long as the water slide is applied over smooth surface (painted and not glitter under decal) you will be fine. If glittered under the decal, epoxy a layer first. I normally epoxy over the glitter layer, once cured, I apply the sealed waterslide and epoxy again after the water slide is dry. I feel like, for me, its consistent depth under epoxy.

Pat Holloway ... I use Blinggasm water slide paper. I haven't tried any other brand. You can order from Blinggasm.com. I use mainly the clear since my machine won't recognize the white to cut it. Clear works best on light backgrounds. I find it works best for me if I seal with 3 or 4 coats of clear spray paint. I use Rustoleum or Krylon for that and they both work well. Spraying a few coats not only helps prevent runs, but for me, it helps the paper not be so fragile. Hope that helps.

Lora, I printed on the shiny side. Then I sprayed it twice with Rustoleum. It still ran. Should I do more coats? Or is there something else I'm doing wrong?

Why is the ink running off. You put the shiny side down in the printer every one I do the ink comes off.

Do a test print and be sure your printer prints on the side that's face down. On printers I'm using for the first time, I mark an X on piece of paper and test print a page to be sure its printing from face down. Some printers may print on face up side

If I want to use vinyl lettering w the water slide do I need a coat of epoxy between the layers? Or can I just waterslide decal, then vinyl, then epoxy?

You can apply the vinyl over the waterslide. I would "desticky" the transfer tape by sticking it on your clothes before picking up the vinyl so the transfer tape doesn't still too much to the waterslide. Be sure the waterslide has been sitting several hours to dry before putting vinyl on.
