This channel reminds me a bit of Small Arms Solutions. Tons of excellent detailed information but oh so dry. Don’t get me wrong I really like both channels and am subbed to both. They are both all business. The funniest thing Chris Bartocci ever said on his channel was, “I have no sense of humour.” He was serious but I laughed pretty hard when he said it.

Do you happen to have a resource of all of the proper min-max BCG and receiver extension headspacing measurements? There are a lot of tools you have that I’d love, but perhaps knowing the dimensions can help me get by on certain things without actually have the job specific tools. The one I want the most is the extractor tooth gauge. Choice!

Sorry. I know this is an upper video, but I had a not quick question about the installation of the forward takedown pin, spring, and detent. Now while I haven't seen every manufacturer's lower, all of the ones I have seen have a tiny hole in the...uhhh... spring seat. I'm guessing it was put there to let water/dirt out or put lube in. While some make a tool and everyone else has a hack for the installation, most come with the warning "be careful or you will launch your detent to the same place one of your socks goes after laundry, never to be seen again". Anyway, after I had assembled mine, I think I used the razor blade hack, for some reason I took a flashlight and looked in that tiny hole. Sure enough I could see the spring. So here is my question...If you get a small gauge needle, compress the spring with a punch, insert the needle into the hole between the punch and spring, remove the punch, drop in the detent on top of the needle, insert takedown pin, then remove the needle, everything springs into place, and the people who make the installation tools cry? Just had to ask. Love your channel🇺🇸👍🇺🇸

It's in his content I cant remember the video name and it's done almost by accident because the video is not named or labeled "about gas tube" it is a physical or autopsy that goes into that area of the subject matter after examination and gauging get it to the subject matter and it if I remember correctly it may be even spread in more than one video like nuggets of gold which is why I simply watch all of this content because even if you have no interest in a Anderson lower reciever physical I will bet you that you will hear learn see something that you will really appreciate that you have learned. I know I do.

@LawlessNate
2 жыл бұрын
That's a pretty common area for bolts to break at; usually if a bolt doesn't have some lugs sheer off then it will eventually break exactly where you described. Obviously, don't shoot with that bolt anymore; you need a new one. If you want a bolt that's less likely to break there, then maybe try an HMB bolt. Instead of like a mil-spec bolt where the cam pin hole is drilled all the way through the bolt, the HMB bolt has its cam pin hole only drilled partially through the bolt. This should, at least in theory, make that area of the bolt stronger.
