2 tips for halo: 1: scoping in for close range fights, especially with the BR, is a big no no. The BR is better at mid to long range combat, so if you can have something like a sidekick, AR, or mangler, those are better for close in. 2: Halo infinite has the same aim curve system as halo 5, which brings along the same aim assist. It's better to run a lower sensitivity with a higher acceleration. This allows you to track players in close fights more easily, and it also increases the effectiveness of your aim assist. I guarantee this will improve your close range accuracy

Ex professional top 1# swat and runble player with my teammate NapTimez for the razer controller binding pick up weapon on the mouse click triggers or back buttons give you a great advantage, using a low sensitivity is more beneficial but now a lot of pros player the mid range of six down to 4 sensitivity. And hold crouch rather than toggle is completely busted with crouch spamming. Learning mechanics like the stair slide boost or grapple surface slide boost make movements so much better. Would you also pick the scuf instinct over razer controller or any other controller? Out of all the controller what controller would you say is best? No matter the price range

Heyo Cuda! I actually opened up my Scuf Instinct Pro out of curiosity and the trigger stop mechanism is actually quite simple to be honest. To put it simply, there’s a micro switch sitting stationary inside the controller at all times, just out of reach of the trigger itself. All the trigger stop is doing is moving a piece of plastic between the trigger and micro switch which allows the the trigger to actuate the micro switch, giving it the clicky trigger.

Keep up with the brutally honest reviews and stay true to yourself, it will pay off in the end 👍. I'm also tired of all the tech "reviewers" who are either sugar coating their opinions just to please the marketing department of tech companies, or just too dumb to correctly express any critical view : those kind of "reviews" have the same utility as a product packaging : a spec list in a nice marketing wrap.

I had two Elite Series 2 Controllers the First one lastet also 4 months until it Started to make problems. The second one i have sold After two months. Now i have solderd a Stock Controller together with the extremerate Kit. The position of the buttons (paddles) are worse, but it did work well also with the hair triggers. The fact that you can optimize your elite Series 2 Controller is nice and also the paddles and the other stuff you get with the Controller is great BUT the durability is aweful! This Scuf Controller seems to be good but it is way to expensive. the paddles and everything else aren‘t surprising me. The only thing that i really love about that controller are the triggerstops.

I have been a competitive Halo player (with some long breaks over the years for other game on MnK) since 2008, with many semi-pro and pro placing During the MLG days and most recently Dreamhack Anaheim 2020, where I played in the FFA finals for Halo Reach and HCS Raleigh 2021 for Halo Infinite. Halo is the only game I use a controller for. I bought this controller when Scuf dropped the very first batch to get away from using the Elite series 2 while playing MCC. Up until this controller I never used back buttons or paddles, the paddles always felt super clunky and in the way for me. Once I got this controller I felt the same way, wtf are those 2 inside buttons and how do I use them. It took me an entire month of MCC and then another month of Halo infinite before I used more than 1 back button. I forced myself mid December to figure out how to use all 4. I've successfully done it, and the best way I can describe it is to put your finger on the raised up edge for the inside buttons. Once I did that my brain started seeing the back buttons as 1 fat flat bottom on the outside and 1 skinny raised button on the inside. I hope that helps anyone struggling with or hating the back buttons on this. I actually love them now. If the dude who made this video see this comment, while waiting 3-6 months for the review on if the controller lasted, try giving what I said above a try and see if the button layout grows on you. After about 8 returns of an Elite Two I decided to give up and try something new. I’ve currently been using the Power A Spectra which has been working really well as a replacement. I got the Instinct, out of curiosity, on Amazon to give it shot and I have to say it doesn’t bring anything to the table worth the 230 price tag. The customization is cool and the trigger stops are amazing, but not 230 worth it. The main issue I have is that buttons suck and often don’t register if you don’t smash the crap out of them. Is the Instinct better than the Elite two? Totally. Is it better than a 40 dollar Power A controller? Absolutely not. So yeah, returned that and wished I would have waited for this review because I came to the same opinion.

I've never had a SCUF but I always hear about so many different issues, especially like the stuff you discussed. They're just SO far out of what I would want to pay for a controller even though I do like video game controllers in general. The biggest thing I heard last gen the most often was that they had bad customer service, I saw that in a shit ton of reviews on practically every website. I play on PS4 and obviously Sony doesn't make their own pro controller but I have used Nacon ones for awhile now and had no issues really at all with any of them other than just one with the Unlimited; the headphone jack is absolute garbage. It just does not work well lol which is a shame cause I like everything else about that Unlimited controller. I paid $140 for that one and I don't regret it. This is with 7+ months of use nearly daily.

in my opinion, controller companies don’t have to do anything “significantly different” to their controllers, for them to be accepted by controller users. the technology controller users want is already out there, the only problem is refining them and making them more “reliable” depending on how you view “reliability”. they don’t have to attach popcorn makers and swiss army knives to the controllers for them to be something we would use. just make them reliable, and customization friendly.

I just watched your thumbstick variables review before this and I was wondering why you never tried or mentioned the medium stick height with the low profile kontrol freek? For me it's the perfect middle ground between accuracy and speed on the right stick. Not to mention kontrol freeks basically NEVER lose their grip. I've had my atomic grips for literally years and they still look brand new.. The new paddle design on the Scuf looks awful. Does it feel an unnatural as it looks? I've had the same Elite Series 1 controller since they dropped and I still think the paddle design is superior to the older vertical Scuf paddles. For anyone wondering how I've had my Elite 1 for years and it's still running like new? Every single part in the controller has been replaced multiple times :) I'm not joking either I mean triggers, bumpers, analogs, sticks, paddle board, the usb jack, everything but the beauty of this frankenstein is that you wouldn't be able to tell it apart from a brand new one outside the Scuf grip plates that replace the old elite back handles and the tactical grip tape I applied to the paddles. I actually just put new analogs on it a couple days ago. Hardware and software calibrated the drift on every axis to be less than .010 and it feels like perfection.

Hex is actually owned by them! And while it is far cheaper to do it yourself, on the Xbox side of the pond it isn't a simple job. My favorite controllers right now are honestly just the PowerA Enhanced controller. I love the two back buttons’ placement more than any pro controller out there. I don’t like trigger stops so i don’t care that it doesn’t have them. I also don’t mind that it’s wired. I love all the fun designs and it’s only $30!!! It’s an amazing value and I play shooters competitively and it does the trick.

Stick drift in weeks with those very cheaply made.

Had mine for about a month but you didn’t mention you can get new sticks from them (which will fix some stick drift inside the stick), faceplates, dpad, and the friction rings.

If they ever actually drop their high trim variant, yes I will. But that also depends on how much I make each month, that Controller is unbelievably expensive

What are the polling rates of the thumbsticks? I find them way smoother in games, compared to an overclocked PowerA controller...

Good stuff. Interested on your take of the Azeron. I just switched from using a controller on pc to that, (about a week now) and the learning curve is steep.

I bought this controller when it came out. It was screwed up most of the time and now it's just broken irreparably. See the bad video I made about it. For the record, my underside button...broke.
