Best most simple description of the differences between the two. It’s a funny thing but being an empath, on researching all this information recently I found myself wondering if I was an avoidant and even asking myself if I was a narcissist, coming to the conclusion I definitely was both of these. Of course I’m not but that’s how deep we delve into the self reflection and even recognize some traits of both, minor as they may be. The avoidant and certainly the narcissist would not do this, the avoidant too afraid too look, the narcissist never for a moment thinking they would need to. Great video mate, from New Zealand. Keep up the good work.

Thanks so much for sharing. And that's a good point about the avoidant just being too scared to reflect, and the narcissist thinking they don't need to. It's good that you can take the time to self-reflect. Cheers.

best explanation, i have an avoidant bf, totally agreed.. stonewalled on and off after i gave him feedback, took as criticism.. comparison to others.. poor him, not intentionally hurting me.. but still hurt, he cannot understand..

@@MichelleSmith-xl7hv …yep, you try to communicate even in the most gentle way and they seem to get very defensive and take anything as a personal criticism. Too hard !

How do I know if there was intent on their part??

With a narcissist, it will become more apparent over time. They'll start making unreasonable demands and you'll sense there's ill-intent at play. Their rage will show more and more.
