Phoenix is great hockey town honestly. Fans will come back once these draft picks start making a difference. There are lots of ex-pat Canadians here as well as people from northern states where hockey is popular.

@@RandomPerson-zx9vv the only problem is, the arena in Phoenix doesn't want them, so they're stuck in places like Glendale and Tempe, which is apparently a big traffic issue. (Maybe I'm wrong? Idk)

This was the best draft choice.And at center this will make a very very strong defense.And a good way to get the poc and to beat the goalie far from his net. The difference with sides is where you came from taking the poc. I respect this,for a player like this to play center.

I kinda get Montreal passing on Wright since they had that plan with Dach. And I get New Jersey since they needed more defence. But this? This is a bad pick. Don’t get me wrong, Cooley will be an excellent player, but passing on Wright will haunt the coyotes, and potentially the other two for years.

Nah I disagree. I really like Wright and the Yotes, but I fear Wright’s pompous attitude would drive him away from being in Arizona past his ELC, so Cooley is more likely to stick around.

Arizona may have been fixed on Logan Cooley all along. They knew that once Montreal traded for a 21-year old Kirby Dach, they weren't taking a center, and New Jersey had to clear up a logjam AT center.
