We definitely need more scattershot like abilities in my opinion-2 maybe even 3 different mechanics with telegraphed skill shots. Especially on mages. It kinda makes the game look fresh for some reason.

@@sospokemika1197 ....that widens and gets more powerful the longer you charge it, but unlike snipe you can cast it whenever you want in 5 second period, leaving a trail of scorched earth. Casting animation would be something like Goku casting fire Spirit Bomb. :D Ngl I like it, but I havent seen Pyroblast type of ability yet-Only Fireball.

For the light/auto attacks. Have them shoot multiple arrows at once instead consecutive arrows. For example, instead of firing 5 consecutive arrows in your combo chain, you fire 1, 2 then 2 arrows. Maybe a max of 3 bow shots anywhere in the chain but you can fire multiple arrows to keep stacking actual hits. To keep the timing aspect right, 2x attacks have a 2x delay and so on. The overall damage, per hit damage and overall timing of the combos stays the same. The rate of fire just slows down visually.

They could add quiver with minimal effort (minimal animation tinkering) if they put them at the side of the character, like iRL funny enough. Mongolians used shortbows to shoot as much as arrows as they could and they used to put quivers on their belt and sometimes even on the bow. Longbows on the other hand.... Dont know solution for that. They dont even need dedicated slot for quivers, just spawn one on character when you equip the bow.

I wonder if they’d have to revisit cosmetics to give each bow a relative quiver

@@Nyce-Gaming Dont even care if its the same quiver for every bow with the color scheme of your bow. I just want it present. Quivers are usually plain anyways unless its native american one. Maybe they should have quiver design based on culture instead of something related to cosmetics.

The ranger arrows were immersion breaking imo. Though I do think that is the direction they wanted to go. I think steven said something during the melee weapon showcase regarding that they want the weapons to be fast. I remember thinking the GS was slightly fast as well as the daggers were super fast.

Check out narcs recent build on that mark potential, he brought a few good points even though he's just one nerd. 🤣 great job Nyce, what are you thoughts on if the hunter/mark/hunt skill would be a built meter instead of a skill bar rotation?

Yea in its current iteration, hunts and marks seem like just normal skills and not super unique imo. Anything that makes it a meter or adjust this is a plus for me

@Nyce-Gaming what if they made it like a dbz charge gauge 🤣🤣the more hunts you complete( bonus for last hits) then you get a berserk or ultimate finisher type. For example, hunt of the eagle grants 5 seconds, increased Arial strike range, unlimited disengages, and no fall dmg.

Rangers have mana so the reason there not drawing arrows from anywhere is cause potentialy they can summon them on demand :P i think the rapid fire is fine for short bow tbh short bow = rapid short range bow where long bow is long range heavy hitting.

@Nyce-Gaming Just throwing this out there. I may be wrong but it thought Steven reduced his CDs to like 0.2 or 0.5 seconds for the stream. Wouldn’t that affect the fire rate if he was spamming the attack?

The hybrid combat is why I lost interest in Ashes... We got enough games in the past with the same system and they never feel like a action combat game like I want nowdays

It’s definitely a switch up from my most preferred style but I’m definitely giving it a try. I’ll be testing for us this year and will give honest feedback

Yea it’s not my preferred, but tbh with the action camera I mentioned, it’s honestly pretty relative. It’s hybrid combat. Some action skill shots
