@@radiantgoldensun6438 Same. Lol. Not because I didn’t finish my food because I always get just a little bit of everything and end up with small size sample plates so I don’t get full before trying other food but about 5 years ago I went to the Aliante Casino in Las Vegas an unknowingly entered the buffet 20 minutes before Dinner so when they started bringing out Crab Legs, Rock Oysters and Chilled cooked shrimp I got up and got 2 oysters on a plate with a lemon wedge. The waitress automatically came to the table and said “you better not let the manager see you with that”.

as an asian, I agree hahahaa. my rule is to eat foods that I cant cook or foods that I usually doesnt cook. if there's prawns, crabs, and the likes, its in the top of the list. get a little rice to eat once the food becomes to 'heavy'. sip a little water or eat a little piece of watermelon if you get thirsty.. but I also do eat a nit of the usual food we eat to compare if theirs is better or mine. hahaha

My parents are the same too. They'll only go at lunch though with their senior citizens discount. The buffet is the only place They'll go to eat unless we take them out, but I always know they wish they were at the buffet. My husband and I don't care for it, we don't have big appetites and they make us feel like we're wasting money by not packing the food in! We prefer smaller quantities of food that are of higher quality than buffet food when we go out. We took them on a cruise and my parents were so happy!! My dad especially, would be smiling ear to ear with the all you can eat. At one of our dinners, he still talks about it today, he was in heaven, he ate 3 lobsters!! He also wrecked all his shirt pockets by taking extra cookies back to his suitcase via his front shirt pockets. The grease from cookies stained his pockets, but it was worth it to him!! 😊

Asian here. When we stay at hotels, the breakfast is always included. Rule - walk for 3 minutes to cross all the croissants and pastries and everything, you’ll approach the eggs and sausage and bean section … it’s ok. But walk a little more, you’ll reach the darker section where they have freshly cut fruits, fresh juices, flavored yogurt made in-house, fantastic muesli full of nuts, sugar free desserts made of dates, etc.

Gorging on seafood and sushi is my absolute agenda at a buffet! I will also put small tablespoon servings of other items I like, such as roast, roast veg's, macaroni salad etc.I don't go often any more since ,at 62,I just can't get into eating very much anymore...I absolutely adore Chines and Japanese cuisine, especially Sesame chicken, dumplings and fried rice, which I have learned to make at home, simply because I have extra waiting in the fridge to eat until the craving is satisfied? I go through "spells" where I have certain things I absolutely love ,like Chicken & dumplings, and when I get enough I won't want it for a while!
