Great video! Looks like you really found some magic! It was nice to meet you at the Rest Stop last night. Looking forward to seeing your next videos.

I think you should definitely go to small towns in the South, and maybe even back to Burbon Street. I have found that the secret to "fitting in" and seeing good things in a questionable area is to ask the locals- "If I moved here, what would be the best way to become a local?" I did that in Puerto Rico, where many White people don't like to live or even visit for more than a week. The locals told me what to do, and they immediately embraced me. They even called me a local after living there for 2 years and then some locals asked me if I was from Puerto Rico, LOL! Same thing happened when I moved to Hawaii. It is well known that Hawaiians have a tough time with us mainlanders. But I went there and asked how I coukd fit in better. They told me and I was able to surf all kinds of local spots and met tons of great people. Find a way to see the beauty in every place- even Bourbon Street!

Well Imran, you came to Vermont early in your portrait project and you never reached out to me like you said you would in a previous post. I'm a bit disappointed, to be honest.

So sorry about that! As you can imagine, I am juggling about a thousand different moving parts on any given day (especially in those first few weeks). I was in Vermont for less than a day and only in the southern part of it. We'll have to meet in person sometime in the future!

Great to see the progress. How is the YashicaMat 124G holding up? I have the YashicaMat 124G, Rolleiflex and the Mamiya C330. A lot of people claim that the YashicaMat 124G is a mediocre camera, but I think that the camera seems very reliable for me, and the image quality is insanely sharp.

To me I feel like people who say the 124G is mediocre are just hurt because the value has gone up so much. I would love to get a TLR but not the 124 because it seems to be a bad value now compared to a Mamiya on the high end or a Ricoh on the low end.

I LOVE my Yashica Mat 124g, but only for black and white. I have always felt just a little disappointed in color results with this camera. Definitely sharp and if shot wide open, it has slightly swirly bokeh
