The default "Audeze" preset is for audiophiles, mostly clean music without distortions like jazz/blues where you don't hear the lack of deep sub bass because those instruments don't produce it. For boosted music like EDM dubstep and such you EQ the bass +6 or +7 and problem solved. That is why we say Maxwell is generally almost for everybody.

I had the Turtle beach 700 max. The cheap plastic around the ear cuffs broke, it was from normal use. The sound was decent from them. I just got the Audeze Maxwell. The build quality is excellent. The sound is amazing. Far superior than the Turtle Beach. I tried the Maxwell’s on my Xbox series x, because of the dobly sound. I was watching Kong and Godzilla New Empire. Holy crap the sound is amazing, sound like King Kong was walking next to me.

I was particularly interested to hear the base comment. It sounds (no pun intended) like Audeze have it covered. Planar drivers have never appealed to me in the past. Now might be the time to reconsider by listening to the Maxwell. And the battery life is off the chart.

I just ordered the Maxwell. I’ve used my Nova Pro Wireless for over a year and a half now. The battery swap was a great concept, but I’d much rather having to plug in overnight once a week than to swap batteries every day.

Same. My only concern is if these last for years, replacing the battery isn't an issue.

The mic is amazing at just picking up the voice. I got the Penrose S a year before the Maxwell launched. I was online with a friend who couldn't hear my AC going just a few feet from me as I was gaming.

@@SomeGadgetGuy the LCD headband is not a perfect fit, so you'll have to do a little diy to install it. However, it's thinner/slightly lighter than stock headband and have almost twice as much surface area.

That I can handle. HAS to be less DIY than what I was looking at instead. I'm mad I didn't think of this first LOL.
@adrenagaming9750
20 күн бұрын
@@SomeGadgetGuy well the DIY is simply making/widening holes on the lcd headband for the sleeves to fit. Unscrew it, remove sleeves, fit sleeves into new hole you made, screw it back in. Making/widening the holes for the sleeves to fit will probably be the only difficult part. Length wise, lcd headbands are shorter than stock. Max length is about 2-2 Config (middle holes) if you were to use stock as reference. Wide surface area of lcd headband provides better weight distribution, along side coolness of the silk defeans earpads. The only thing remaining is the clamping force which can be dealt with by stretching the headbands. Past that, you will barely feel the headset on your head. Can use it for hours after hours. Finally be able to enjoy the headset for its sound.

So this ended up selling me on these as a replacement to my very, _very_ well aged Sennheiser RS160s. Still have the latter, but with how hard it is to find replacement parts (I.E. I had to use a knife to hack at the excess rubber preventing me from inserting the otherwise correct replacement charging cable because shockingly Sennheiser doesn't stock their Y splitter cable and nobody seems to have a third party alternative), a so-so battery life, and a strange habit of at random blasting my ears with a short burst of static noise that is liable to give me heart palpatations, I think these will do me well. My only issue so far is that the headband isn't very well padded, feels like it's pressing down super hard on a single point at the top of my head. I dunno if that's just the weight of these things or what but I guess I'll see.

I am using this for more than a year. I get used to the weight for about a month or two. but sometime it still feels heavy. Also, planer sometimes causes headache, at least for me and some other. I replaced the earpads with Wicked Cushion, but it feels rough on my skin, so I swapped it to an unbranded cooling get earpad as thick as the wicked cushion. love the headphone overall

Your voice sounds just as good on the Maxwells compared to the other mics that you have used in the past. I do really like the Maxwells. Also, you can downgrade the firmware to the infamous 59 version which has some beautiful bass. I've kept mine at that firmware because it fits style the best.
