@XersesI
8 жыл бұрын
+KirkTheGod they are engine balancing shafts to make it run smooth and eliminate vibrations because the 4 inline cylinder engines are naturally unbalanced, that's why they are opposed and run in counter rotation on to another.
@pirpir3496
7 жыл бұрын
It just marketing. Germans claims elliminate vibrations but that is only marketing. Everyone knows more weight in engine moving parts are bad as for smooth running as reliability. So let it go and look for Japanese or Koren manufacture
@MrFunkia

They are balance shafts, to make the engine run smoother, by eliminating the second order vibrations generated by a four cylinder engine.
@alanvcraig
6 жыл бұрын
They are balance shafts running at twice engine speed and in opposite directions. The weights cancel each other out at points in the cycle where they are not needed, and add together to oppose forces causing vibration at other points. Just like my Kawasaki z750 B1 from 1976.

What more ? I tuned it to 260 hp 400nm with decat-downpipe. Drove about 10k km and no problems.
