Ingredients:
1. Bitter Gourd
2. Masoor Dal
3. Green Chilli
4. Dry Red Chilli
5. Panch Phoron
6. Bay Leaf
7. Salt
8. Sugar
9. Refined Oil
Methods of how to make Uchher dal/Teto Dal:
1. Heat up a kadai and add 3 cups Water.
2. When the water heats up add the Dal.
3. Add Green Chillies, 1/4 tsp Salt and boil it.
4. Close the lid so it boils quickly, you can use a pressure cooker. Cover and boil on medium flame.
5. After 20 mins it's boiled.
6. Mix well and cook on high flame and add 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder.
7. Mix well and add 2 cup Water.
8. Boil it for a while on high flame.
9. After 3 mins add the Dal in a bowl.
10. After that heat up a kadai and add 2 tbsp. Refined Oil/Mustard Oil.
11. Add Dry Chilli, 2 Bay Leaves, 1/2 tsp Panch Foron. Fry the masala and add Bitter Gourd.
12. Add Turmeric Powder, Salt and fry well. Cover and fry for 5 mins on medium flame so it's cooked quickly.
13. After 5 mins fry on high flame till golden brown.
14. Now add the Dal in it.
15. Add 1/4 tsp Sugar (as per taste), 1/4 tsp Salt (as per taste).
16. After 2 mins turn off your oven and serve it hot.
17. Our today's recipe Tetor Dal is ready.
