This was a 3 day backpacking trip through Arizona's Superstition Wilderness in January of 2020. I took the Coffee Flats Trail east into the beautiful Randolph Canyon and headed north into the severely fire burned Red Tanks Canyon to camp and do some night time photography. On the second day I climbed up through the now desolate Red Tanks Divide, looped around via Upper LaBarge Canyon and then followed LaBarge Creek along the Dutchman Trail, camping the second night near the junction of Cavalry Trail. On the 3rd day I completed the loop taking the Terrapin Trail along the base of Weavers Needle and took a short, but scenic part of Bluff Springs to a couple saddles back to the trailhead.
