I watched you make bacon-fried corn several times to make sure I knew what I was doing. Then I cooked enough of it for 40 people at my wife's birthday party-two batches on my 28" Blackstone. I had never done it before so it was a leap of faith. Only one thing surprised me and it shouldn't have. The corn was crunchier than I expected. It was a hit! I had lots of compliments. I don't like cilantro but I put it in just like I saw you do it. The next time I'm leaving out the cilantro just so I can taste the difference. Thanks for giving me something different to serve at the party.

I grew up eating fried corn as a boy. My grandmother made it with bacon grease and cooked it in a big cast iron skillet. You have to cut the corn from the cob in about three passes and then scrape the ear with a knife to get all the juice out. I ate it every summer, when I was at the farm with sliced tomatoes and fried chicken. It was best with early corn, white corn, but was also good with field corn, yellow corn. This is an old Southern food, where corn was grown. It was basically a cream corn.

Great video Todd I’m a new subscriber. I’ve recently got a new 36”Blackstone and cook on it almost every day . Bacon fried corn looks delicious 😋 haven’t tried it yet but now I will. I made a bar to go around my griddle it’s kinda like hibachi. I haven’t seen anyone out there that has one so I decided to build one. You and your family stay safe out and about .

Hi Austin - I appreciate you subscribing and watching! Congrats on your new 36" - Blackstone has had a Surround Table on the market for 4 or 5 years but that is cool to hear about your hibachi bar!!! In any event, thank you for watching. Have a great rest of your week. Here's a link to the Surround Table. I'm always changing my setups so you can go back and see me using it quite a bit about 3 years ago here on my channel: www.blackstoneproducts.com/shop/36-griddle-surround-table-accessory-rear-grease-version/

Love this video! Just purchased the Rangetop Combo with Deep Fryer evening before last. Assembled and seasoned yesterday. Had to try it out immediately, right? did bacon, eggs, and hot dogs. Amazing! Today, family came over (just daughter, her hub, and grandbaby, so only six of us total in case anyone's counting). Used the old grill to cook meat sauce marinara. Used the Deep Fryer burners to heat water for pasta, then also to do the italian sausage in a frying pan. Totally love this thing! It's just awesome. Have to try this recipe now! Oh, and went back to WM and got a few additional cooking utensil extras!

I wouldn't even bother "looking at" the 22",I would just buy it you won't regret it. I have the exact same 22" and I love it. It's large enough to cook a lot of food and doesn't take up much room at all. I have the 36" as well but find myself on the 22" for most stuff. Which having dual heat zones on the 22" it really widens the horizons in cooking different things.

Todd...Have you ever tried using this seasoning called Tajin, I got some at King Soopers. It has chili peppers, salt, and dehydrated lime juice it has silicon dioxide to prevent caking. I bought it to use on salads but I think it might work on this recipe also. Says it is made in Mexico. I noticed something funny, on the cap it says "This Is Not A Candy". Oh, one other thing I bite the bullet and bought a Blackstone today at Walmart. I got the B3 model 28" with the deep fryer. I haven't put it together yet. A nice project for this weekend weather permitting.

Awesome video, Todd! Love the cookin' in real time. The best fried corn I've thrown down has been with leftover pulled pork! There is a company (actually based out of Colorado!) called Flatiron Pepper Co. that makes blends of crushed peppers that will make anybody toss generic crushed red pepper out the window! I'll add their 4-pepper blend (red pepper, ghost, habanero and... arbol -? I think- peppers) to it with garlic, definitely red onions, cilantro and some soy sauce! Hits the spot every single time. I'll have to try the jalapeno cheddar Cheeto's with this!
