This is heart wrenching. Hope it gets better. Looking forward to seeing what next chapter brings.

Hard to grasp how bad the storm was until you see in person. Last Saturday we took the skid loader and saws to my aunts house in Cedar Rapids, all I could say was wow. Glad you are all ok and no one was hurt!

Very sad to see this kind of Destruction for any human. I live on the East Coast where hurricanes coming in off the Atlantic are something we pay attention to during this time of year. With modern meteorological science there's a forecast and a tracking path so we have time to prepare. Totally confused by what happened over in your part of the country it seems this was a highly unusual event. I wish for you the best and your recovery.

It is very sad to see that amount of destruction and mayhem that the storm caused and it must inevitably leave you wondering how you will pull through. On the plus side it is very good news that your house and machinery shed and contents doesn't seem to have been damaged, although many houses do seem to have suffered badly from some video clips i have seen. Thank goodness that you sold and dispatched a whole group of cattle prior to it happening so that in the immediate moment just now you don't have to worry about them. The good news that the cows are back under control and you know where they are and safe is good too. The fencing issue is obviously important so that you can get them home but will require, I guess, considerable time and effort to repair/replace. How are you fixed for winter feed, forage and bedding supplies for the livestock? I cannot think the prospects for much in the way of corn stover bales look good in view of your comments about the damage to corn crops. Whatever, best wishes to you and all those folks directly affected.

Hang in there, little steps at a time. See what's the most important to clean up and fix first and work from there. Hoping you can salvage a lot of materials for use on future projects.
