You called it, this is now selling brand new at outlets for $299 USD. Its actually what brought me here to check out if it was worth considering but I just get the feeling that is money I'd rather spend to getting a slightly better drum machine, or, honestly just sticking with what I have. I really love my Erica Synths LXR-02 Drum Synthesizer, and I can always spend more time with the samplers I have to fill anything that lacks.

For a company who's first product was a drum machine this product landed with a loud thud. Its basically a blown up Volca Drum (which I own). Even more disappointing are the influencers and music stores on KZitem who have been less than honest about how really bad this machine is. I'm fumed that some infuencers and their gnomes have rebuked my criticism as I am a 'know nothing'. I have been working with electronic music for 48 years and my first store bought synth was a Korg PolySix. The light gray labeling on the shift keys on the brushed metal is a big ergonomic mistake. In less than ideal lighting/angles they are impossible to see. You can see this in some of the videos. For their asking price they could have laser cut the shift letters in the panel and filled them with acrylic, with a LED backlight, that would light up when you hit shift. I'm stunned listening to the factory programs about the lack of ethnic (Asian, African, Brazilian, Middle East) programs/kits. Clearly this is for IDM producers and the like. Well I do ambient music. So this one is a no-go. For 100 USD more you could buy a MPC One. First clue I am right about this: Look are how many are for sale already in the used market that were only used for a week. Second clue: Read the reviews on some of the major on line retailers. Thank you for your honesty and pointing out some of the other shortcomings of this product. I am not even sure I would have one if Korg sent me one free.

Syntakt! MC-101! MPC Live 2! Hydrasynth! SP-404 MKII! Roland W-30! As always, you are the highlight of syntube. 🧡

The mc 101 was awful , sold mine after a month , SP404 mk2 is about 10 years out of date , my suggestions , korg micro sampler , novation circuit mk1 /mini nova , since they both have similar synth engines , zoom arq

I just bought one 2 days ago secondhand and got it for around half price. I don’t know that korg has built a korg drum machine since the er-1 -I have this also! The look of the machine is quite appealing! I am not sure that people’s opinion should be taken as a reflection of bad gear! It is pretty good at a low cost secondhand!

I'd buy that for 299;)

You could buy several er-1’s instead have a slew of decent drum machines. Or get this and have a noise making paperweight

@@joshuamorganmusic the er1 has gone up in value! This still has better sounding tom’s and 4 individual outputs also it has good EFX’s the er1 doesn’t have good EFX!

The ES-1 was amazing. No analog modeling but it can sample and had motion recording and cool rhythmic effects

I don't understand why the screen needs to be so tiny, they had space for a screen that was at least four times the size. Amazing video, as always!

I was hoping korg would make an advanced digital drum machine that’s similar to machinedrum since I like volca drum a lot, and we got a new bad gear material 💀

Dammm you Pilzzz! I've been thinking of getting one of these and now I don't know which way is up or down. You can make a thrift store kids toy sound great so it's more confusing than ever. I've seen some vids on line of people making these sound insane, but I guess they are difficult to program like you were saying.

I actually liked the Drumlogue demos and then wanted one much more after I tried it out in person... Unfortunately for Korg I have just as little money as I do taste.

Pretty good episode once again mr Pilz! First time I see and hear some of what the DrumLogue could do, and made sure I don't need one. Thanks for your time to save me some euro's! Have you ever considered to make small synth tutorial vids? It took me some searching to learn how to get the most out of the Beatstep pro, for instance. Roland's also have this illness to exclude shortcuts and buttoncombo's from the manuals. Just a thought ;-)
