One of the finest Baha'i Gospel songs I've ever heard. Pure soul and spirit: the Holy Spirt!! It lifts me up... and I need that.

My understanding is this: Baha'u'llah has said that certainly God has the power to just "fix" the world, but through God's grace, God has chosen the utterance of humans to bring about world unity. I can already hear the reply: "Grace?! Why is it called 'grace' to let people suffer?" Baha'u'llah says that this allows humans to become the "recipients of divine good." (I only have 500 characters per message, and as I write this, I can see like 50 conversations coming from it. More to follow.)

What a beautiful song for a beautiful faith. The greatest obstacle to the path of truth is that we imagine ourselves to be right, and all others to be wrong. "Consider the mercy of God and His gifts. He enjoineth upon you that which shall profit you, though He Himself can well dispense with all creatures. Your evil doings can never harm Us, neither can your good works profit Us. We summon you wholly for the sake of God." ~ Baha'u'llah

Xariabyron god doesn't need people to do his bidding he gives us choice whether we want to or not he gives us tests so that we may grow spiritually if he fixed all our problems for us we would be perfect and have no need to be here . he could also show everyone he exits instantly from the clouds or where ever but then all we would be are slaves and need no faith..all the the lord asks is for you to love him so that he can show you the way back to him..god bless

An army does not have to go to war...though in this case Baha'is go to war against poverty, division, corruption and other ills that break the teachings of the messengers of God. So God does need an army of people on earth united in that purpose.

"And they shall turn their swords into plowshares" So also the "army" of the hearts who are turned to god leave behind aggression, hate, racism, and all oppression. It is the transformation of humanity to become brothers and sisters, spiritually. To be all that you can be join the army of light ;-)

Personally, I see this is because applying Baha'u'llah's teachings in our own lives is the only way to understand their true meaning so that we can share that with others. To share with others the significance of the Baha'i writings, we have to have a profound understanding of them; we have to put them into our lives through action. As a result, we (humans, not just Baha'is) become better people. Perhaps that is "divine good." Thoughts?

I only do this with percussion [hand drums] so its very confusing with the guitar, piano, and no echos. I do this in my community youth group. I can't get the pitch right, at least not with this version.

Of course, if you don't believe in Baha'u'llah, his writings may not have meaning for you. For the purposes of this argument, you can switch "Baha'u'llah" with "Jesus" or "Muhammad" or whatever. If you don't believe in a "God", however, then the question of God's army doesn't have an answer. The concept of God is, my friend, older than civilization, and I doubt that it will be accurately defined on a youtube discussion page. Too bad :(
