Why are most reviewers somehow not noticing (yet?) about the drying needs of this filament being WAY above that of PETG Basic? It appears to soak up water like a sponge - a lot more than PETG Basic. More like nylon. That's fine but as a replacement for PETG Basic, doesn't it kind of matter, like, a LOT?

I agree. This first video was more of a overview, run through initial impressions and what to expect out of the box. I have been using the HF for about 2 weeks nows and I agree, it is far more hygroscopic than the PETG Basic. My humidity levels aren't horrible my room tends to hover around the 48-50% mark. So it took a few days to really see a difference after drying. I'm going to do a follow up video. Your inputs are spot on, nobody has really talked about it's properties. The HF appears to be a little stiffer too, I'm going to try and set up some sort of strength test to compare to share that too. Thanks for watching and sharing. your inputs!

Wondering if the Voxel HS offering is the same stuff. Came out the same time and while BL is labeled HF, Voxel is labeled HS.

I just ordered some Voxel PETG HS to test. Voxel looks to claim up to 500mm/s, bambu's is around 300mm/s. Would be a great head to head comparison. I'll try and get that done in the next week or so depending when that filament comes in.

Would be interested to see if there's any difference for the following 1) If we don't own a x1c 2) own a ams

What are you printing with? I have used it in my vorons. Prints well with some additional tuning. This version compared to the previous petg basic does take on a lot of water. So I would utilize a small dry box of some sort just to keep it less exposed. I print out of the sunlu s4 after drying, Amazon has a number of single filament dryers that all work well enough. The s4 is on the expensive side.

Sample size of one plate with four individual parts, I did not notice any difference between the X1C and A1 mini. Same print quality.

@@driventomadness117 I have been extremely impressed with how well the A1, and A1 mini print. Especially at the price points they are offered at.

What was your RH% after the dry?
@ThePrintasaurus

Started out at 58%, the best it would get to in the Sunlu S4 was 23%. What I have found is this filament takes on water pretty quick in comparison to other PETG.

That I can do! I have a few rolls I have been using, I'll add a few different manufactures and go over which worked best and share settings.

Questions; Which build plate did you use? Glue or no glue?

Pei is typically what I use with petg. Adhesion is really good with the proper bed temp. 70c is a great starting point to fine tune from if needed

Oh real hockey sticks, I was trying to work out how that hockey stick holder would hold the Bambu hockey sticks

Lol, yes real hockey sticks. The mounts actually work pretty well. I’ll share a picture when I get a chance. Thanks for watching.

On Bambu Studio, is there a way to change how the X1C changes wipe direction aside from g-code.
@ThePrintasaurus
Ай бұрын
Take a look at the strength tab, advanced and look at infill direction. See if that is what you’re looking for. That was the first thing that comes to mind you can adjust. I’ll look into some other settings on confirming what else might change direction for you.

@@ThePrintasaurus It's more to eliminate residual pressure during wipe rather than it dump it in the outer wall seam. Would essentially end outer wall travel at seam and wipe interior. As well as some of the wipe paths are over last extrusion which bring you over your existing outer wall

Thanks for posting! I'm eager to try bambu's new PETG since that's the material I use for my functional prints. I like that corner radius jig a lot; it's on my "to-print" list. I'll have to modify the inserts though; I use a few imperial sizes the most, but for most things the metric varieties are fine. I used to have the M18 compact router, I ended up switching to the dewalt; it just felt a bit better in my hand, plus I have more dewalt batteries than milwaukee. Seeing some diy/woodworking projects would be a nice thing to implement every now and then. 🙂 Looking forward to your next video and the studio changeup. Enjoy your weekend! edit: I'm still bummed they didn't bring all the colors back. I really hope they re-introduce lime green and lake blue.

Thanks for watching. I have collected quite a few Milwaukee batteries and tools same as you easier to use what brand you have more batteries with! I do have some projects coming up that I’m working though the filming process with that will bring some diy/woodworking as content! Stay tuned for those!
