Alright, I guess despite my comparatively passing interest in boots I've watched enough of these to subscribe. I'm seriously impressed by your presentation skills in these videos, it seriously rivals most of the formal training I've received in my adult life.

Own both and like them. I do feel the MP is a more rugged boot. Viberg is a more refined casual boot that can be dressed up or down.

I love my two pairs Vibergs. Your assessment of them is pretty much spot on. I really want MPs, but I'm actually afraid to order a pair. I have read many reports of spotty quality control with the MP line. After owning the "perfect" Vibergs I must confess, I'm spoiled. Cheers

Have around a dozen pairs of Whites boots in various classic designs. They had no issues or flaws. Their construction is more of a rough and ready boot that can take a beating. They are not more refined like some other makers. I usually go a 1/2 size down in many quality boots, but the MP model, had to go down a full size.

After getting into boots 10 years ago.. I've tried them ALL. Trumans, Whites, Nicks, Grant Stones, Red Wings. At the end of it all..the Vibergs stand head and toe above the rest. Not only is the 2030 the perfect last for my foot, but the build quality has always been the best. The stitch per inch density is 9! Any most any boot you can pick out little flaws in the craftmenship, but not with viberg. Its pure kino! My 2030 Viberg shinki horsebutt is my grail boot. I've actually began selling off the pairs from other companies and I think the only non viberg boots I will keep is my trumans in coyote rough out, and red wing iron ranger as its the first nice boot I ever bought. If your looking to get into service boots, stay away from Thursday.. It IS tempting for the price, but trust me.. they are JUST a bit better than trash.

Strange how things turned out. All the materials I've seen suggest Boondockers, Russets, &c. were Goodyear welted, but here we are with two "service boot" icons, both logger stitchdown. Rolling welts or fiddling with umpteen-SPI Rapid machines would have been madness in wartime! I guess the real madness is fretting construction…on my way to and from an office chair.

Well I just started my high end journey after buying Thursday Captains. The best way to buy Viberg’s is new “used” from poor soul that got the wrong size or wrong foot. Mine just came in the mail today and went out in the snow. I am a very happy camper.

Since I live in Seattle, I’ve been able to visit Nicks, Whites, and Vibergs. Obviously, all are quality boots and personal preference comes into play. However, I’ve been able to purchase Nicks Urban Logger for $610 including tax and delivery. I paid the same for my Whites MP Sherman. The Vibergs, which I did not buy, came in at almost $1000 (with tax and delivery). Even if they were the same price, the Nicks and Whites just seemed more robust. It’s true the Vibergs are more refined but their prices seem a bit ridiculous. On the other hand, I feel Whites and Nicks, while expensive, are excellent value.

@@sssnrrr I’m on the MP last on the MPs and the 55 last on the Urban Logger. I prefer the 55 but it’s definitely a PNW look. A note on sizing, I’m a 9 1/2 D Brannock. I take a 9D in Nicks and also in Whites 55 last, but on the MP last, I’m a 8 1/2 E. Between the UL and the MP style wise is Whites Cruiser. Hope that helps.

Watched this again after what seems to be an incessant pondering on a White's MP purchase... I like this type of side-by-side discussion of two great options. More videos of this type are encouraged! By coincidence, I am wearing a Viberg 2030 horsebutt today and am reminded again how wonderful the fit is for me. I hope the MP last, or the one they are using on their new CMP boot would fit as well as these 'bergs. Thanks again, Teik for great content and delivery.

I "like" when companies use words to describe leather that mean almost nothing. Culatta is cut of the leather, it could be veg or chrome tanned, tumbled or smooth, oiled or crust, shrunken or embossed, cow or horse... It just means rear end cut and nothing else.

Here is something you may want to let your viewers about Viberg boots. Unlike other boots, with a 30 to 90 day return for refund policy, Viberg has NO return for refund policy, and will ONLY take a return for an EXCHANGE or STORE CREDIT. Also, once you place your order with Viberg, you have TWO DAYS TO CANCEL. If you do not cancel in 2 days, YOU ARE STUCK WITH THEIR BOOTS OR SHOES. In 30 years of buying boots and shoes, I have never seen policies like this. So, BUYER BEWARE!! PEOPLE SHOULD KNOW THIS...PLEASE TELL THEM.
