Breaking plastic handlebar mounting brackets etc. To avoid this heat your plastic parts/brackets with a hairdryer or heat gun. Heated plastic will tolerate a lot more abuse than it will unheated. Borderline hot to the touch is more than enough, don't be a dummy and melt your parts.

Hey man, if you are still here is this motor worth buying in 2021? Or there is something new better? Same price ofc.

I'm considering getting Bafang 1000 watt, the only downside to this application I can see is how the motor connects to the crank tube. You have a bracket with notches and 2 flimsy 6mm bolts. If you could make indentations where the bracket fits on the frame thus eliminating movement, then fit 10mm bolts. Otherwise all the electrics and the output of these motors, plus the affordability make it a great entry level E bike. Top tute, oh nearly forgot the Lekkie Bling Ring 42t aligns heaps better.

Actually the bracket bites in the bottom bracket frame part and is locked to 50nm with a ring. The 2 6mm bolts just keep the motor in place in respect to this holder. The actual retention is done between these teeth and the frame

Hello 👍 ,, you can change the pin (motor) that enters the frame of the bottom bracket,!? Let me explain,. I took the 100mm but, Pultroppo with the dissosamento chain crown house we are not there. He strains too much arrived at the 9 speed, from 10-11 goes hard and eats the iron. Since I have a 148×12 mtb wagon. No more margin even with picnic crown that I recovered 5mm .. Nothing! It doesn't work. So I would like to try on my old 26 rockrider 5.2 mtb Che a

Thanks for this video - I used it 100% to assemble my BBS02 750w. I used the standard 46T front chain ring, but even with 9 gears at the rear, Im over geared - reaches 78kmh static test off the ground in top gear, but 42kmh under load on the flat and in lowest gear I'd like to climb steep tracks. How can I decide what chainring to change out to, to get optimum performance? ( BTW I cant find a facebook page where they discuss this stuff )

I noticed you didn't change the brakes. Are you just using the brakes that came with the bike?
@desvio2000

You noticed correctly! Yes it's a good idea to use the electric brakes. I like to have non-electric brake levers so I can do burnouts and wheelies hahaha.

IF they are good quality disc brakes they wont need replacing. That said, it would be foolish to use a motor with with cheap calipers.
@Studentofgosset

Yeah but the brake levers that come with the kit include sensors to cut the motor when the brake is applied, might be where the question came from.

Do any of the bolts benefit from non-permanent thread lock?
@TheSkystrider
5 жыл бұрын
Here "The plate must rest flush against the Bottom Bracket with the ‘teeth’ facing toward the BB and washers that you use as standoffs for the M6 bolts (unless it fits flush with no washers). Put blue locktite on the bolts and thread them down with decent torque. The lockring must go on next (also with blue locktite) and be tightened down ‘as hard as you can’ with a lockring wrench." @desvio2000

No, but the bbshd can! The axles for the BBSO2 are 68mm-72mm. You need around 100mm for a fatbike.

That depends what bike you have. Google search "how to measure bicycle bottom bracket shell", and then just measure your frame.

I recently received mine and I need a battery, would you recommend me one (36 V 350 W)? what's the name of the one you installed?
@desvio2000
6 жыл бұрын
All 350watts are low enough discharge that I would just get max capacity. That being said, I would just look at one thing... the "ah" (amphour) rating when you buy it. The higher the better. Just make sure they are brand name batteries like LG or Panasonic, otherwise the numbers are likely made up.

You just place the rubber blocks under the track to support the track, then screw it into your waterbottle holes. I would recommend using thread locker too.
