I mean stupid is a spectrum ill have you know XD i tried to replicate one really dumb calisthenics trick and got my spine injured for no reason, my biggest idiotic move in the entire life, idk what i was thinking lol, just be stupid enough to keep going but not stupid enough to injure yourself friends, gl

😬 Today I was hiking alone and trying to get to a particular spot. I passed a sign warning it was dangerous and to turn back and I got to a part where I maybe could have managed but I decided to listen to my "don't be stupid" voice.

This video right here motivated me to start training at my office’s gym no matter how far away I am from hitting the move/pose that I’m working towards. Never been so close to hitting the frog-stand to hand-stand transition. Got frozen at like a 60 degree angle. Also never had carpet burn on my forehead before either. 😂

I've been doing calisthenics for about 8 or 9 months mainly just burpees to simplify it with a few pullups here and there. Now just trying to spread things out over different exercises... Surprised that I stuck with it this long 😅 Also face-planted myself doing the frog stand and wary of doing wall handstands because I'm afraid I will put a hole in my wall... So I guess it's best I do them outside 😂

Be stupid. As we get older, stop and think about what is the worst that could happen and how long recovery might take. Be willing to go stupid, just remember that recovering from that takes longer with the years.

One of the most repeated pieces of advice from successful people is to push failure aside as necessary learning experiences. Learning to fail. Keep pushing. The same principle translates really well to fitness too. Many people will fail and self-sabotage by using it as an excuse to give up. In motivational psychology the reason it's so important to set realistic short-term goals is because many people will set themselves up for failure on purpose (be it conscious or subconsciously). So that they can fail and reinforce their own belief that they can't do it in order to give up. Like Jimmy saying "I'm gonna climb mount everest". Fails to go up a set of stairs, and go "I knew it was impossible why bother". Extreme example but you get the point. I failed my exam in motivational psychology as a side course at uni (IRONIC I KNOW). But it was interesting none the less to learn about how some people fail on purpose by setting unrealistic goal posts. While most people that actually succeed. Are good at setting realistic short term goals. Like "I'm gonna go from 2 to 4 pull-ups".

No, don't be stupid. Allow yourself to fail. Always use correct form queues in progressions, eg. straight arms in the tuck planche. Learn how to safely exit a handstand before trying a freestanding handstand on a hard floor. Be aware of how you are holding your resistance bands. Don't arbitrarely try exercises like one arm pull up that have a high risk of snapping your biceps tendon or give you golfers elbow if trained without proper warmup and specific training. Always allow yourself to fail, grow, learn from experience and train progressively. Don't be stupid, doing ineffective or dangerous exercise.

You missed the point of the video… It literally just means not to take yourself too seriously and enjoy the journey. You can only be where you’re at, and can’t skip to the end. Where in the video, does it say to do stupid 💩 you’re not ready for? Also, it’s obviously a simile for “be wild” “be silly” “a clown” “a wing nut” “a goober”, etc. different things mean different things to different people. Be stupid is a lot funnier than allow yourself to fail for a title. As you can see in the comment section :) And what does the end of the video say?? Exactly. Have some ice cream or something bruh lol it’s not that deep.
