Dr Kandan Loganathan is a GP in the Hilltop Medical Practice in Drogheda, north of Dublin in Ireland. Originally planning to study in the UK, his friends convinced him to come to Galway to study medicine, and he has never looked back. He chose a career as a GP because it gives him control of his life, enables him to have a good work life balance, and he has a great team of colleagues in the practice owned by Centric Health.
It's never been a better time to train as a GP in Ireland with huge choices of places to train, to be a specialist, and join a practice in rural or urban Ireland.
Applications for the 2024 GP Training Programme open on 2nd October.
