Red oak is very pretty when it's rough green. Would like to see it after going thru a planer.

Go back to some of his earlier videos, he's got his camera set up in his sawcab, you can see his feed and log turner levers with dog and setwork buttons and also his vertical edger buttons on the setworks panel.... Great videos to watch

A true artist can take absolute garbage and make a masterpiece with it. It does not matter what the substance is, the true beauty is contained within. Would you not agree?

I asked you before and you dident explain to me, its ok i understand to much going on, my question was how much percentage of the inture log goes as waste , coz this kinda wood its very expensive, and i assume count alot in finale prize

It just depends on how you’re cutting it. The more passes and more sawdust you make, the less yield you’ll get. That’s why I prefer sawing thicker items and like the large post items. Someday I should weigh a small log, and then weigh the wood after I saw it! That would be the best way to know

A fixed camera position is a must. A never-stopping camera's position movement causes dizziness. These valuable videos are not an opportunity for the camera-man to demonstrate his/her cinematography skills - chasing the event like in armature home videos. But rather, allowing the viewers a fixed scene where they can valuate how the cutting was smart - maximising the yield, or failing to do so. If a camera was chasing the ball in a tennis game wherever it goes, nobody would have been able to sense distances, speed, efforts - and smart selection of target positions.

Wow. I've never seen so much condescension packed into one comment. It is certainly ironic that your criticism of his video is rife with spelling, grammar and vocabulary mistakes. He's doing his best to share his demanding occupation with us through videos, not be graded on his performance.

Still learning. You have to remember I’m trying to time these videos out in a way that still allows the operation to be productive. As the channel grows, the video capture will become better

@@HelmsburgsawmillYou are doing great. Don't take my comment too seriously. It is evident how the task is extremely difficult - given the narrow, the dangerous real estate of the place and the single camera. What a viewer, like me, after is - a view that allows assessing decisions made by the operator on where to cut. The viewer predicts where that will happen next. If the prediction proves false, then the viewer assesses - why the operator has elected alternative decision/distances. It is here where the exercise/joy for the viewer is - or do you really believe that somebody would enjoy seeing a repetitive mechanical movement - left and right - wasting time? Well done again.
