I have one with orange handles, think I'll upgrade to micarta like you have, the sheath is a little loose, think I'm going to take the heat gun to it to stop the rattle.

Good looking knife Dan, can easily see that as a good neck knife, definitely needs a good kydex sheath though! I agree, removing the coating is a must!

Great video Dan. I have this little knife and did put the orange plastic grips that they sell for it. I like your grips better. I wore it as a neck knife for awhile, but now have too many doctor appointments and the idea that someone came into their office with a knife sometimes freaks them out. And to think we put our care in their hands. Thanks for the review!

Only seems fair that if the doctor has a knife, you should have one too! I really like this little knife. Kind of surprised me.

Bk14 is still one of my all time favorites. I carry either a bk14 or izula or mora eldris every single day. Never feel like I need more knife with a bk14.

It would make a good companion blade to a big chopper like a BK9 or Esee Junglas.

There is some beautiful country around John Day, and great fishing on the John Day River. If you pass through Prineville, that's where I am. Bk16 is a great knife!

Dan, how does this knife compare to the Esee JG-3?
@ochocobushcraft1742
Жыл бұрын
The JG3 is a much more serious survival knife, my opinion. Would definitely endure harder use. The Bk14 is still a great little knife for bushcraft, camping, etc. This is how I personally place them in my kits. JG3- serious backup in a get home bag, bugout bag, stc Bk14- great small knife for camp, bushcraft, hikes, etc. This is all my own opinion, but it's how I see them. Still, I'd rather have either one than a larger knife of mediocre quality. Hope this helps.

I put TKC neon green and black scales on my BK14 and I put the TDI clip on the sheath. I also got a BK11 with factory micarta. Great items
