To all victims of narcissism! This is an example of someone been caught up in the chain. Don't let narcissist drag you into playing their game of "one up manship" Its simple don't let them wind you up, most things they say are only a kind of outscoring strategy. Just remember they don't matter! Don't get caught up in their mind games!

This advice is spot on! She nails it here. I’ve used all three of these tools to great success! And becoming their worst nightmare is okay because it’s the only way to fight them. Once you win, it’s over, and it’s time to move on. But the fight is vicious because that’s how nuts they are. Another thing to do is to educate yourself as much as possible about them. The more one understands about them, the better one can fight them. Ms. Zung is awesome. I also like Dr. Les Carter (Surviving Narcissism channel) and Dr. Ramani, here on KZitem. I’ve improved my life immensely with their help.

Rebecca Zung, you are becoming one of my favorite people addressing this topic; right up there with Dr. Ramani! I love your feisty spirit and can tell that you are a fighter. I've no doubt you're a helluva attorney! Thank goodness I don't LIVE with a narcissist! My husband is wonderful and our marriage is as close to bliss as is humanly possible. But I come from a family of narcissists and psychopaths. In my case, it's not a husband or a lover... it's my goddam "brother". Our father's attitude towards the two of us can be summed up in the nicknames he gave us: "Boy Wonder" and "Knot Head". Any surprise that "Boy Wonder" turned into a loathsome, bullying narcissist?! (tsk TSK) As an adult, I got the silent treatment from my narcissistic brother for years. When I had had enough of his abuse, and began refusing to attend family gatherings where he was included, guess who got vilified by our clueless parents! ME. More recently (2006) he and his lawyer re-wrote my mother's will behind my back, after she'd been stricken with Alzheimer's and become too senile to comprehend a legal document. That original will would have split her estate evenly between us, free of trust, for us each to utilize as we saw fit. Our mother was coerced into signing this piece of crap that put MY half of that estate into a trust, with my brother getting his half free of trust without strings or restrictions. He simultaneously positioned himself as both Trustee AND "heir" (I'm without children), making his two kids my "heirs" after HIM. Long story short, after twelve years of this nightmare, our case has finally gone to court. It's not finished yet, but it's looking like ole Douchebag is getting his smarmy ass whupped by me and my attorneys. LONG OVERDUE. People like this need to get brought down to size, the sooner the better. Without this inheritance, I would have to work until I die. After I’m done beating his ass in court, I will be “adopting” a lifelong friend, thus picking my own heirs so my brother and his family get NOTHING after I’m gone. In the meantime, I have much yet to accomplish through my retirement years. I am a pianist and composer, and an artist, with better things to do than engage in an endless power struggle and tug-of-war with that DOUCHEBAG.

Is there any way you can stash away some of his money without him knowing? It doesn’t have to be a lot. I used to go food shopping for us and when the total came up, I would hit cash back and pocket the cash. I did this for a few months. On top of that money, I’d always ask if he had any cash on him for gas, cigs or food. Most of the time he’d hand me money. Again I would pocket it. Finally I got myself a part time job delivering food and wow, I started to make really nice money to add to my already nice nest egg that I acquired from taking/asking him for money. Also, there are attorneys out there that will work w/you. You may have to put the the first half down but many will allow you to pay the rest off. This is how I got out after 30yrs of marriage w/o having any job experience. I now am divorced, have a nice chunk of money in my bank account but even more so, I am finally happy. PS- Most, if not all attorneys do a free consultation. Use this to your advantage. Figure out what rent/your monthly expenses are and he will have to pay alimony depending on how long you were married, plus I believe that varies from state to state. My point is you can do this.. trust me, if I can, anyone can!! It may take some time but know that you are working to make sure that you are finally free and happy. If you have any other questions I am always here. I wish you all the best. Start now by taking $20 here and $20 there - trust me, it starts adding up. And if you can get a part time job please do so bc that would really help you out a lot!! Hugs 🤗

I don't blame them for it, but it would be refreshing to see law and order held up to its highest ideals instead of the low expectations of the worst of human behavior...justice is supposed to be blind before the Bar, but the sheer volume of evil our world has descended into has forced this upon us all.

I'm dealing with an ex-husband who is also a divorce attorney in NY City, not your average narcissist, for sure. Negotiations and Judge's Orders are meaningless to Exman. He brutalizes me verbally in court and in his court papers, has stolen my business property costing me my business (while I was in FL because of my mother's death), my reputation (for the loss of a thriving music studio when he walked in and took the grand piano from my business) and my home (because letting his mortgage foreclose was cheaper than the judge awarding me residence in the house). Moreover, he refuses to ever comply with marital maintenance orders. I'm at the end of my rope, because now he claims (wrongly) that because we've reached the end date of the Agreement, he no longer can be compelled to comply! I have a 20 year window to file a complaint against him in family court; and so the abuse continues. I thought divorce was supposed to end things, but man, was I wrong! That marriage cost me...Literally...Everything. He owes me enough to solve every financial problem I have right now and he's gloating and living in a very exclusive community, while I literally camp out with friends, because he's pretty untouchable! I'm not emotionally broken anymore, but I'm pretty angry when I have to keep dealing with the results. And handling it isn't cheap, because of who he is! I had no idea how little protection someone can have against such despicable people.

At work, I inadvertently tortured our cowardly narcissist in the dept. I was talking to coworker pals about how great my life is, and the demon narcissist heard it and was crushed. He was really depressed someone was living a happy, healthy life. Now I torture him on a regular basis. Life is good.

We are not a survivior, we are warriors, because we survived a war. I got the narc really upset, because I insulted him & gave him a narc injury: I told him he looks worse than my grandpop in his casket. I do not kiss my grandpop!!" I left him two days before Mother's Day & do not intend to go back!! I'm advocate for health, political, abuse & fraud. I'm so busy, there is no time to worry about him. He is financially abusing me, so I have a case with the CFPB & my work, on that is almost done.

I have lots of leverage that I can use but I don’t know how/ when to use it ? At the moment the narcissistic idiot is trying to use random stuff to drag out the process to compel me to go to court and waste money. I’ve offered numerous settlements options asking for virtually nothing but he won’t settle. I know I have wounded him by asking for nothing (except tuition fees and medical insurance for my daughter). I really don’t want to waste this money on lawsuits - especially since he doesn’t have any money, although he pretends to.
