Hey Heath, hope you see this. I watched one of your videos in early 2020. I purchased your ethical hacking course that same year and began my journey into ethical hacking. I transitioned from construction my entire adult life and just this past week was offered a job as a security analyst. Made the career change, and landed an amazing job for an amazing company. I owe lots of my knowledge to you and your journey motivated me. Thank you so much!

I don't usually leave youtube comments, But I came across one of your courses online and watched a few videos. You're one of the best online teachers I have seen and I will be buying the full course. Although I am already somewhat experienced and very computer and linux literate, I still learned a lot from your videos. So thankyou from England. Curious why you recommend OSCP over CEH? There are thousands of jobs here in the UK looking for people with CEH cert but only 800 looking for OSCP. In your honest opinion being in England, Is OSCP really worth the extra money? Thanks

Because of the disability I wasn't able to work, and have also had to live in my car.

How much do you actually work on pentesting for a company and how much is actually attributed to reading up on new exploits or vulnerabilities? Also, do you mostly work remote? I think you said in your practical ethical course that it is typical to get a VPN connection to the client and perform the internal test that way?

Are there any free courses for learning more on hardware and computers and components, what each does more indepth? Also, I am not exactly sure what aspect of cyber security to look at. There are a number of aspects. Do you recommend a certain career path for a novice?

A little late on this reply… but I actually learned a lot of what I know about hardware and components from the various KZitem channels part of Linus Media Group. (Linus Tech Tips, Tech Quickie, etc). They make videos experimenting with pc’s and their components or talking about the latest news in the field. The content is aimed halfway at education and halfway at entertainment. It was a really organic way to get started in the space for me.

@vawaken3860

There’s really no accurate answer to this question. It all boils down to the time and energy you put into learning the information and applying into something practical. Also ties is your ability to pick up the concepts and your willingness to learn. Some may say 1-2 years, others may take longer and that’s ok. Like TCM said, focus on improving every day and don’t worry so much about how long it will take you to get there.
