Beet Root Pickle
Beetroot pickle is something widely using also which is colourful due to its reddish colour and different taste in nature. By some easy steps you can do it in your home.
Ingredients
Beetroot - 3nos
Green chilly - 8 nos
Ginger - 1 small piece
Gingelly oil - 2tble sp
Mustard seeds - 1tsp
Garlic - 8pettals
Curry leaves - as per choice
Dried red chilli - as per choice
Salt - as per need
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
Asofoitida - 1/2 tsp
Vineger - 4 tble sp
Method Of Preparation
Cut beetroot in to small pieces . Place a pan over the stove , add gingelly oil. Splutter mustard seeds along with dried redchillies and curry leaves. Saute well. Add greenchillies, garlic , ginger and saut untill become brown. Now add beetroot to it ,close the pan using lid by adding salt, upto 3 mnts. Its the time to add asofoitida and turmeric powder, saute well. Now you can add vineger and turn off the flame. Keep it aside for cooling and store it in an airtight bottle.
