Honestly my all time favorite channel. I literally was listening to him out loud in the gym locker room and some random says “average 1st man watcher”. I’m in the states. I can relate to him on so many levels. Father passed away when I was 19, literally put him in his grave. Not coffin, actual body but wrapped (Islamic way). Had to support my mother and two sister who where OLDER than me. When to school full time and work and graduate with 3.5 gpa. Now I’m in grad school. Built an amazing body and confidence that is unbreakable. Literally I give 0 fuck who you are, have you ate shit like I have? Probably not. When you go through depression, death, injuries, hardship, etc… it builds character. I’m 26 today and still more work to be done.

Can't put into words how accurate this is. A few weeks ago I built up the courage to ask a girl out - in person - that I'd been interested in for a while. She gently rejected me, but I still walked away with a huge grin because the fact that I overcame the fear of the outcome was a huge thing in and of itself. I can't remember where I heard this phrase, but being "outcome independent" is the fastest, most immediately implementable tools you can use to boost your confidence. If you get too in your own head about the outcome of something you're hesitant on doing, that can eat at you until you back out altogether. Sure, I got rejected, but I sleep well at night knowing that I'll never be stuck with the "what if?", and that alone is a win and a step towards bettering myself.

One should always be in the realm of neutral state and only bordering the other realms/states. Indulging in any of the Triad realms will cause one's down fall. Just recently discovered your channel and finally, I have found someone who (you) is relatable and down to earth. I can say a lot on this as so many people in this area I feel are either secretly full of BS or just slightly miss the point. Your videos have saved me in many ways. Also I discovered you through Hamza. I am 36 and wasted a lot of time. However, I have been solidly into fitness, boxing and self improvement for many years. But I got sidetracked. Tried the laptop lifestyle, travelled asian etc and got wiped out by Covid lockdown in vietnam, broke up with my long term vietnamese girlfriend of 3 years and had to move back to UK in january. It was very difficult to come back to no job and living with my sister in cold dark and expensive UK. That was january and since then I have built lots of momentum. I have stuck the advice in your videos, just focused on my mental health, kept it simple, started my youtube channel, stuck to my routine and simple journaling/reading, building my focus back. I am not deterred from being older, I have a lot of life experience, now just time for humility, glad I am guy and glad I read all those books in my 20's. It's been nearly three months and I can honestly say I have never felt more calm and peaceful plus excited about the next few years and this journey. I appreciate your videos, thank you very much. Have you got any videos or advice for older guys like myself? I am not concerned about being 36 as I know how powerful 2 years of just sticking to goals each day can be.. Thanks once again.

You are 100% correct when saying that the idea of rejection fills guys with more fear than real actual rejection. Very often, our minds are our own biggest enemies because they create scary scenarios that stop us from doing the things that we really want to do. When I was younger, I tried to project confidence but inside I was pissing myself from fear, my heart rate would literally sky rocket walking into a bar or a restaurant. It took many many years of trial and error to improve, work on myself and build myself and my confidence. Self improvement is useless without action. It’s a strong industry that wants people to consume, consume and consume without taking action. If you don’t take action, you’ll just consume more content trying to find the answer to your lack of confidence.

Guys, I'm not a doctor, I'm not a professional, but here's my analogy. When you're depressed/anxious (or both like me lol), your stress levels are already through the roof. Normally, when doing anything out of your comfort zone, or something that's not part of an already existing routine, your body releases stress. So especially for ppl who are depressed, "starting" anything feels like killing yourself, since if you've been depressed for a long time, your tolerance to stress is basically non existent (cuz of the damage to hippocampus) so simplest forms of stress feel destructive and exhausting both mentally and physically.... Ironically, this makes us even more stressed (not starting something) which forms a nearly impossible to escape LOOP. We must all break this loop, and every other loop in our lives. It's gonna be harder for depressed individuals that's for sure. But it's not impossible. You're gonna be fighting hundreds of enemies (the symptoms and products of depression) but it's better to fight them one by one than all at once. Also knowing what you're signing up for is 50% of the way to success in breaking this demonic loop. Last but not least, in my personal experience, each symptom of depression (the severe level I don't know about the rest or the different types) feeds the rest, which leads to feeding the depression itself and worsening it.
@donquixote3292
2 жыл бұрын
I’ve found the only way to escape the loop is to incorporate micro-hardships into your life. Things like gym, cold showers, training a martial art, fasting or going for a morning jog

@@donquixote3292 I completely agree on the micro-hardships thing. I've come to that conclusion myself a few weeks ago. I didn't understand the point of the video, u only have that level of confidence since u got to that level, but why would a guy have that confidence if he's still trying to improve himself or have just started? Maybe I'm just dumb but if someone can explain I'll appreciate it
