I'm an Australian who dated a black American for a while. We were crazy in love and I was sure we were going to marry (as did he) but a whole lot of "stuff" (nothing to do with him being black or me being white) was going down in his life at the time and we eventually broke up - much to my horror at the time. It's only been in the last few years (and we're both married to different people now) that he told me that although he loves his wife, he does look back on that period when we were together and wonders what would have happened if so much drama hadn't been going on his life at the time and we had stayed together. Oh well... that's life! Anyway, I went to live in the US with him and one of the first things I noticed were the looks of disdain (and pure hatred, from some) black women. Now, I've never looked at race as an issue - before the American, I had been in a 7 year relationship with a Chinese guy and although we'd occasionally get "looks" from both whites and Asians here in Australia, no-one looked at us with disgust (that I know of). It was _completely_ different in the US. The first time I noticed it was at Universal Studios with my boyfriend and there was a black woman that was shooting daggers at me. I had NO idea what I'd done to her - I wasn't anywhere near her - and my boyfriend told me that this was normal behaviour, particularly from black women when they saw a white woman with a black man and to just ignore it. He explained pretty much what you guys said. I will add this was in 1997 too when I was in my mid to late 20's. It was completely foreign behaviour to me as I grew up in a home where you were taught to love the person, not their skin colour and, of course, I grew up in Australia and not the US where things were obviously different with regards interracial couples. It was a culture shock for sure! Anyway, love your videos and you are such a cute couple - hi from "Down Under"! :) xxx

Interracial relationships are wrong and they can never work out. These relationships are build off of self hate or the lack of pride for their culture/race.Black and white should never mix.Anyone who has ever been in a interracial relationship need to repent.

+Faco Thomas And with that comment, you set human evolution back 10,000 years. When *will* people learn that the colour of a person's skin has absolutely NOTHING to do with love? Love is love - it doesn't care about skin colour and neither should YOU. You need to learn to open your mind a little more and realise that the human race is ONE race. The fact that one person has less, or more, melanin has absolutely nothing to do with their capacity to love ANYONE!

+Faco Thomas Oh, and I'll make sure to tell my friends who have been married for 50+ years - she being white and him being black - that it won't work. Okay? *rolleyes*

My dad brought my mom, older sister and myself from Thailand to the heartland of America. (Which was REALLY white!) We became the darkest people that town has EVER known. The local newspaper even did an article on us saying that we were the first "islanders" to join their community. Most of the people were very friendly considering it was the early 70's, but there were a handful of people who called us the "N" word. Our food was weird and we were so different was all we heard from people. Now, it's so cool to eat Thai food and Asian women became more exotic than different. However, even when I dated black guys, I was still stared at by black women for being with one of their own. Oh! I forgot! In high school, thanks to the Vietnam movies that came out, I had to hear guys yell "Me so horny" every fucking day in the hall. Simple fucks. Things of course are better as the years have past. When I do catch myself looking at an interracial couple, (especially white/black) I can't help to wonder how adorable their kids would look like. I call couples like yourself Yin Yang's! Which is why I thought your little opener for your videos was adorable. White ball kissing the black ball. Too damn cute. And your kids are fucking adorable! People with hang ups just need to get over themselves. I can't remember which Chris Rock stand up it was, but he went on explaining why black men like to get with white women and why white women get pissed off about it. HIs answer was so true to the point. I LOVE that man!

You guys are awesome! I am white and I grew up in an interracial household myself, because my mom married a black man and they had two kids. We all grew up happy together! I really find it weird when people hate about things like that.

You know when I started watching your video, it didn’t cross my mind about a interracial couple. The first thing I thought was how I love your hair ☺️. You are a beautiful couple also.

I love the video. Have either of you ever been in an interracial relationship with any person of colour before you met each other ? Especially Asian or Arab ? Did you find more objections to those relationships than you do with your current relationship ? I'm watching from London UK, where we have a lot of interracial, intercultural, interfaith couples, and biracial & multiracial kids and adults. There are also high numbers of transracial adoptions.

Chad and I did the interracial relationship tag a few months back and we still get a few questions about it. It's interesting to see how others in different locations are treated because going up I was in a ALL white neighborhood and mainly dated white boys until the last year of high school. Chad has dated outside of his race also. The thing we see in the Metro Detroit area is black men with white women are talked about more then our situation but still these aren't usually remarks based on race but on body type and attitudes. Like we heard a black woman state that "He's (a black man) is only with her (a white woman) because of that butt," and we laughed 'cause she gave Kim K a run for her money.
