Varadero all the time. It's all personal taste but in my opinion it's one of the best bikes out there. I bought mine new in 2002, put 18,000 miles on it in 2 years and still regret selling it. I'm 6'2 and found it perfectly comfortable and it carried its own on the motorway. Just... Grab one while you can. And if you see one with the registration CK52 MVA, I want it back...

I owned a 2012 varadero, paid £3,000 for a low mileage used silver one. It's a big bike and a V twin which is unusual for a 125 and can maintain 65 mph, a year later and Honda started making them again in spain. I think the varadero helped me a lot to allow me to pass my DAS first time, I ended up exchanging it for a bigger bike which had 6x more power :) I did have a few issues with the alternator on it and the chain needed a lot of adjusting.

The Yamaha yzf r125 at 4:19 used to be mine and I sold it to a guy in September. I guess it didn’t take him even a month to wreck my old bike :( it’s funny how reckless people can be though. I had good memories on it. Shame he put it into that shape. I sold it for a bargain at £1400 yet they’re trying to get almost 100 quid more for it now that it’s wrecked 😂

my bike was a decent deal! 2006 honda CG, fresh mot, guy even dropped it off at my house for me, for £750. Had since last october, just done the MOT, passed, just needing a new chain. 23k miles now and plenty more to go! It's been my first geared 125 and compared to the two chinese scooters i had before, its absolute bliss. Never broke down or had anything go wrong yet, whereas with the scooters, breakdowns where more of a weekly thing lol

Hey spicy, longtime subscriber (Betty days) 1st time commenter. Enjoying the new autotrader uploads. Nice way to mix up your content and ad a bit of variety. You definitely made the best option picking the vera, nice strong vtwin built to last. What's your opinion on the Sinnis Terrain. Would be good to see you do a honest review vid if you could get your hands on one same as you did with the hoodlum. Ride safe buddy and keep up the good work 👍

This is an excellent series of videos and will be quite an eye opener to a good few people (including myself). As a suggestion for a further video, although not following the "first bike" vibe of the 125 searches, how about seeing if it is possible to buy a road-ready (MOTd/running/no major issues) bike for less than £1 per cc (so 1000cc for less than £1000, 750cc for less than £750 etc). Thanks!

I recently got the varadero to get me back into biking. Amazing bike to ride especially for the taller rider! Highly reccomend. Not going to pretend it doesnt sound like any other 125 being fairly tinny with the stock exhaust but seems to have a bit better sound compared to others. Also get a lot of questions when I am out in public as when it's parked up people are confused how it's a 125 because without L plates (and without the noise) you would think it was a much bigger bike!

I think you should do one based on scooters for the best priced between £500 and £1,500 for a scooter for learner riders a mean that 125 scooters not fussy on years but would be good to get from recent to really old classics if you could do this this would be awesome as I'm looking to get a new scooter or a used one and knowing what to look for in one would be helpful meeting a video of you doing it for me and I will be able to learn how to do a lemon and look for a great scooter

If your looking for a 125 to be honest Facebook 125 for sale groups are not a bad shout as there is differently a better variety of bike especially if you're looking for something like a 2-stroke or something rare but you do have to be careful about stolen bikes as people do tend to try and sell them through these groups as there less regulation

Cat letter are bikes that have been written off. A to D. A. basically means melted lump of steel D. Could be a little as scratched fairings. All you have to do is fix the bike and get a MOT and it's legal again. A cat D might pass the MOT as is because scratches are not a fail.
