Thank you for this video. I’ve been looking for something without all those dreaded holes. This is much much nicer than those muscle racks.

Found the Sam's Club variant of these for the same price at my SC the other day. Did your shelves come with metal insert couplers for the bottom and top halves to go together? The one at Sam's uses a plastic joiner and you have to have a shelf in the dead center to hold the top and bottom together. If yours is the same, and its held up all this time, that works for me. I might buy 2 and double up the shelves and do like you did and use more of the beams to reinforce it.

It’s been awhile since I assembled but yes, I do recall if you are building up/tall, you have to join the upper and lower bars with a connecting horizontal. It’s fine but restricts your ability to put the shelves more precisely where you may want.

@@Dan14thPrime Awesome, thanks! Good to know it's held up after all this time.

Awesome review! Just picked this up and did same setup! I am assuming you doubled up the shelves for middle and bottom? Thanks again 🤘🏼👊🏼🙏🏼

Thanks. You mean use two boards? No, I didn’t do that. It’s plenty strong, but that’s a good idea to keep all the parts handy rather than storing extra shelves.

Nice shelving. I wonder if you could attach Perspex sheets to the cabinet but how?

This is a perfect video because I just bought this same shelf unit. I am going to separate mine as to have 2 units. My only question is the feet on these what do you suggest to use to cover because I have wood flooring . thanks

Mine came with black plastic end caps. I think they want you to use them to cap off the top but I actually used them for the feet.

Would you think 1/4 with riser would be nice on these configuration? how much lbs can carry on each shelves?

did your rack come like that with the front bracket holes covered? one thing you could do to make it cleaner is install pvc foam boards through the inside of the rack. It'll cover the holes and blend in the metal bars. Those bars in plain sight is such an eyesore no offense. I just feel like it takes away from the statues and those are nice pieces. The glory is not at its full potential. Go the extra mile & put acrylic and foam boards you won't regret it.

@@DonPeppinoo I generally display in Moducase. I don’t do these custom display rack things. This is just meant to be a best bang for the buck “garage rack” video. Not a best display option video. For a nice display I’ll do Moducase. But I’ve had a couple these racks in my collection while things are sorted out given Moducase has a good 1 year lead time

@@Dan14thPrime i know i only have 3 - DF120. That took 16 months to get here. Comparing moducase to these is not fair. We (the community) are trying to replicate moducase. Of course moducase is the best. I could fit busts in the garage rack that i couldn't in the DF120. The uality is there. & Honestly from a short distance when done right, they look the same. Just the boarding is thicker. If someone was to view them and not know about moducase they will think they are 2 of the same cases. My whole point is simply saying your case will look totally different & 100x better just from those 2 simple adjustments. If you want the '''best garage display''. You could actually skip the acrylic. But the backboards i couldn't stress enough how good they are. Those statues deserve better lol & ignorance is bliss

That sucks. But still on Amazon for $218. Not best price but not terrible. It’s affiliate linked in description. Worth it still IMO. I actually picked another one up a couple weeks ago.

So I've found these same shelves at Costco, but after having them for a bit do you find the board bends at all? My concern is there's no real support for them, they look like particle board, so wondering how they hold up over time.

Trust the engineers 👍. This is basic stuff. They know what they’re doing. Personally, mine are all fine btw - comfortably holding a couple hundred pounds per shelf. 👌

If I was setting an open display to fill with statues that I did not yet own or know what they may be, I would go 24” deep at least to have some flexibility. If it was glass enclosed, I’d go more like 28”, similar to Moducase Max series.
