I knownim late to this video, but if you see this what are your thoughts on epoxy jigs off those southern beaches. They were deadly on Spanish and blues up here in Jersey last summer... I tie teasers to put 18" up the line too.

Key thing covor lots an lots of water. In warm weather you can use a fast retrieve a pause an 1 reel turn as fast as you can pause for 1 second when turning reel as fast as you can. Can use the really fast reel retrieve from one to 3 or 4 times pausing 1 second. Reel also fast one to 2 seconds ideally one or 2 alternate then slow super slow or Moderate 1 second. Start pause at 2 to 3 seconds warm weather, to key bigger fish pause longer. Big fish don't expend a ton of energy they've adapted through means of survival expending minimal energy. After varied retrieve fast one to 2 seconds then 1 second slow or moderate pause, then after 1 reel crank super fast. These pauses an retrieves are examples use this type of format but switch it up. The reason I'd you're taking a soft plastic bait or lure giving these a more realistic presentation so fish will react

All and all, what it the most effective way to have... at least a good day on the water... wether it’s an lure or bait or rig. This question is geared to inshore fishermen.

Has nothing to do with lures rigs tackle etc. Its being in the right place at the right time. Get up earlier, try more places, keep track of everything you try and spend more time on the water. You will eventually find fish, just by sheer probability. The reality is that unless you have some info from people who are keyed in on the area, it can be very difficult to catch fish in saltwater without putting in an impractical amount of time, especially if you are restricted to wading or paddlecraft. Consider hiring a guide for a trip or two to get the inside scoop.

Thanks, I’ve heard that a lot. And I understand that you have to in the right spot etc. I was just wondering because I’ve been in situations were we were on the fish, but I was using one thing, my friends another, and they caught fish in the same spot I wasn’t.

@@harperspath7772 Yea if you are finding fish but you cant get them to eat, try going stealthier. Lighter line and leader, lighter and smaller baits, and try to sneak up on the fish. In that particular situation id tie on whatever your friends were using lol. Also, its not just the right spot, but more being in the right spot at the right time. I know places that are loaded with fish at certain times of year and totally empty at others. or spots that are good on a certain weather pattern but dead on others. Like I said, just fish more, in new places, trying different things. Its really the only way to learn.
