Enjoyed Malignant especially towards the end, I was like oh so it's that kind of movie. Old was just boring. M Night is a hack legend. Good idea but poorly executed with horrible dialogue. H Kills had decent kills but it was just a mess. Candyman? Its shot well especially the critic's death but I didn't care for the characters and it wasn't scary. They focused too much on social commentary that they forgot to make a horror movie. The original had that but it was subtle. You cared about Helen and it had a creepy atmosphere.

The scariest scene in Last Night in Soho was the one which, in reality, would be interpreted as a black man (wrongfully perceived to be) committing SA against a white woman. She's screaming, "No! Get off! You're killing her!" while they are having sex. I was so worried he would be killed or arrested, bc that is what would happen in that situation. Instead, the film frames this as no one having any awareness of this perception of the event or possible outcome. We are supposed to sympathize with the woman for seeing a spoopy ghost, and the man just shrugs that ordeal off and says the next day, "sorry if I did something to upset you."

The second one is the better one of them all. It still tap mostly into nostalgia, especially if you're a fan of Friday the 13th and similar movies, but it's a pretty decent movie. The acting is better then part 1, the story is more interesting and I personally think Sadie Sink is a much better lead actress than Kiana Madeira. Part 3 is not unwatchable, but to me it's the worst of the 3. If you like movies like The Witch, you might enjoy it, but I didn't liked and wouldn't recommend it. You have to have more than good kills for a slasher to be enjoyable in my opinion, the score is literally the same as every other Halloween movie. I'm glad you liked it, because I was so hyped for it but it's definitely bottom tier Halloween for me. I enjoy resurrection with busta rhymes more than I did Halloween kills.

@@brandon17760 Tommy’s dialogue has more to do with the writing than the actor’s performance. Resurrection is unwatchable for me while Kills is in my top 5 but to each own

I know from one of your previous videos that you've been looking for more space horror, I am almost done with The Silent Sea on Netflix and since you said you like water based, you should give this show a shot

I've never understood people getting mad about other people's opinions of art. Art is entirely subjective. There is no right and wrong when it comes to what movies someone likes. It's like saying you're wrong to like purple. Great videos👍

The Night House was my favorite film by far this year! It was the first movie in 5 years to genuinely terrify my at points. I could actually feel my heart racing and I found myself holding my breath. I love this movie and agree with you 100%

I hated the original Don't Breathe so much that I didn't even bother with the sequel. From it's anti-atheist messaging to the gaping plot hole of an ending where the police somehow missed the fact that they found blind rape-o guy unconscious smack-dab in the middle of a rape dungeon in his own house surrounded with tons of incriminating evidence (including a syringe full of his own jizz), it was a major misfire. Dude should have went to jail. The fact they made a sequel where he's the hero is insulting on multiple levels.

I really appreciate you differentiating between quality and entertainment!! So many people don't include entertainment value or just lump the two together, as if shit quality movies can't be enjoyable (when they're secretly the best in my opinion lol)

Im in the minority of those who love Halloween Kills with u. Dont know why people hate it. The 1st part was already shockingly good which back then made me wonder how they were gonna top it. Bringing minor characters from the original together is goddamn one of the most ambitious but still sensical idea! I cant wait for next year. This time i have absolutely no idea how they r gonna top this in the last of the trilogy. And i love how Halloween Kills give the protagonists lots of control of the narratives instead of giving all the spotlight to Michael!

Terrible. Script sounded like it was written by an 8 year old. Nothing scary at all. Perhaps the worst ending of a movie I've ever seen. Felt like I got scammed out of my time and money.

@@ripvanishh4723 Yeah I mean I like slashers too. I thought the gore and kills were pretty good but that was about it. Script was awful. I spent most of the movie cringing every time someone opened their mouth and started to talk. There was no story. Jamie Lee Curtis is in it for maybe 90 seconds total. I thought the acting of the towns people was awful. That car scene where the girl shoots the gun like 8 times in a row might be one of the worst scenes I've ever seen🤣 if the ending wasn't so retarded I wouldn't have cared about the other stuff as much but when I saw the ending and how ridiculously stupid it was it just set me off 🤣🤣

@@ripvanishh4723 Senseless slashers can be fun, but I felt none of that with this movie lol. I thought it was pretty dull, repetitive and nonsensical. The angry mob theme was also a bit absurd and the whole movie felt more depressing than anything. Not really what I want in a Halloween movie. Haha.
