Then it was the Kelvins aliens from another galaxy, then Dr Severin and his "Space Hippies". This tiny list doesn't take into account the energy beings (like * aka Beta 12-A alien whatever) or super renegade computers (like The M-5 computer or NOMAD/TANRU probe). The A-plot revolving around T'Lyn's emotional conflict alongside the B-plot with Shaxs & Boimler were excellent. However everything else with the Cerritos crew and the Betazoid trio acting like a buncha emotional horny knuckleheads was iffy. Not only did it remind of utterly horrible episodes like TNG's The Naked Now & DS9's Fascination, they feel, especially in YT clips like these, out of context fodder for the anti-LD/anti Modern Trek crowd. Not saying that LD should be devoid of these moments, nah its acceptable given this is a comedy show and how it takes place on a lower grunt ship. But at the same time, LD by now has really established its own identity to have just as much warmth, seriousness and emotion as any other Trek show. The zany moments here really evoke Season 1, which the haters unfortunately just see this show as.

"A dangerous side effect of Bendii Syndrome was that the loss of emotional control could be telepathically projected to others. Vulcans were able to resist the emotional projections, but if the afflicted person was in the presence of non-Vulcans, the emotions could cause outbreaks of anger and violence. An attending Vulcan telepath could keep these projections under control, but when the sufferer was particularly stressed, the side effect could overwhelm such efforts." Last time that happen, a big fight happens. And remember violence and sex is one of those most primal behavior of many Earth beings.
