For a motherboard cleaning we use special thinner , acetone/toluene-based,made in Bulgaria. For a chip soldering we use Amtech flux type RMA-223-TFA or NC-559-ASM (depends on Lead/Lead-free soldering process).

What did you use to solder the chip in?? All i see is cleaning with flux and putting and removing with the tiny foil chips. Unless it was that huge machine. If im mistaken.

That's a lot of work to replace that chip, bravo! Don't you use x-ray to control the soldering quality? Or does the process almost never fail?

Hi! Nice job! Why you put a piece of aluminium tape to the Bga core? Sometimes when the rework process kill the old chip, this solution may help?
