My A1C has always hovered between 4.9 and 5.1. But my fasting has gotten a bit elevated. I've had too much stomach fat, and overweight and lethargic. I have tried diet and other exercise and it's helped a bit but not enough. Once I got into cycling, I fell in love. And it's made me so much more excited. It's a great way to de-stress after work, too. And now my numbers are better, and even my fatty liver improved!

This was a bit emotional for me to watch.. legit have tears. The last two weeks have been tough for me. Waking up with insane headaches because my blood sugar levels over 300mg. I just started biking because I could no longer do jiu jitsu (on and off) and was forced to quit due to my knee. I was involved in a bad motorcycle accident years ago and my knee was never the same. I also have a three year old son that depends on me so I'd made the decision to stop with all the sugar and change my diet. I've just started but your video has given me hope and I plan to beat the crap out of this and be taken off my meds. I'm turning 40 this Friday and still think I'm too young to be going through this so thank you. It's given me more motivation now. I am happy for your achievements man and I hope to do the same.

thanks for watching and commenting. Sorry to hear that you are going through some rough times. Good part is that it's temporary. I was in a dark place when I started riding. I wanted my "alone time" and riding provided that. While having fun trying to learn how to mountain bike, I was getting into better shape - physically and mentally. Its not going to be easy so do what you can and don't be hard on yourself. Make some realistic obtainable goals and you will be feeling better before you know it. When it comes to diet, i suggest slow cutting things out instead of going all out - that kills one's motivation to eat clean and they fall back on bad habits. If you find yourself munching late at night - for example - cut that out and then identify other things you can cut out. For me it was the double chocolate chocolate chip muffins at costco.

Mike this happened to me too. I developed Type2 during the Pandemic because I constantly ate and gained a 100lbs, I was out of control. I did indoor cycling and within 6 months I went from A1C of 11.0 to 5.5. I dropped alot of weight too during that time. I feel so much better.
