It's only once we've accepted the fact, that we are all truly alone and nobody really cares, that comedy can properly commence, as you demonstrate, in the funny, last part, of your comment. Misery = Comedy :-)

Mr. Burr! Mr. Burr, I never comment on these excerpts, but I just have to tell you that you are on FIRE this week. The After-show Heckler story and this one were some of the most interesting storytelling bits I've heard from you in a little while. Thanks and have a great day/night/whatever.

Been listening Bill's podcast allmost a decade. This got to be like tousand time he is like "I got too drunk. Think Im going to work out and eat healthy for now". Then wait month or two max and he got another drunken story to talk about lol. Guess he goes easy with boozing these days since he become family man what is bit of shame. He must be the funniest drunk to hang out ever.

He is so right that it takes the really bad ones for you to at least quit for a little while. Getting a good buzz and having fun is not gonna do it getting smashed and making a complete tool of yourself and having to hear stories the next day and just imigining how pathetic you were causes you to evaluate things.

On the Phillipine Insurrection, I just read Mark Twain's “Anti-Imperialist Writings” where he has a scathing thesis addressing it (most of the humor was sarcastic “high praise”). In the 20th century, Samuel Clemens wrote stuff in parallel with George Carlin in the 21st century about what he saw around him & which is eerily similar 100 years later. & Billy Burr, based on some of the rants I've heard from you, I think you may be in that same class. XD
