The masked superstar was a very underrated gimmick. Bill had great promos and for the time was a very big man. I thought Bill really made that character.

If bill doesn’t like you…. You not very nice, bill doesn’t have a bad word for anyone and is a fair man. A true Legend, in the real sense of the word, his masked superstar gimmick actually drew money in a time where it mattered who was on the cards when it wasn’t the promotion that was selling tickets but the actual names headlining

Called respect, I know many Americans don’t understand that but in the uk we don’t like to use cus words with our elders. The next generation have zero respect and how my generation raised such disrespect is beyond me. Obviously these gangsters didn’t learn and passed on the stupidity to the kids, especially the American attention seeking muppets that need you to look at them so they can be offended

Because most of what is said about him isn't true. The lawsuits everyone talks about in particular wasn't really true. Thunderbolt got in trouble because he picked the wrong side in the Atlanta promotional wars in the early 1970s. He worked for an outlaw promotion in Atlanta and had problems getting work after that. Ole Anderson, because of their past history, helped Thunderbolt out at the very end of his career. He booked Thunderbolt in Georgia. Thunderbolt at the time talked about in the interview was a 40 year old banged up guy whose best years were probably ten years behind him. But almost all the guys who do interviews only know thunderbolt from that time.
