the title 953 comes from the ending of the song where they play the main riff sped up. they play it for 9 bars, and then a break, then 5 bars, then a break, then 3 bars, then a break

This was the band at their youngest. They recorded this album when they were all 19 years old and Greeps voice was the most maniac and insane it'll ever be in his career. These guys haven't made a single bad album. Also the reason why their sound changed so much because their second guitarist Matt, left the band in mid or late 2020 i dont remember. But songs like John L and Chondromalacia Patella were made while Matt was in the band. Also Matt was the vocalist for Years Ago

the guy you talked about screaming is cam who’s also the bassist, the other vocalist is geordie who also plays the guitar and idek how his brain works to be able to play like that and sing these complex ass lyrics at the same time, especially on songs like the race is about to begin

Appreciate the black midi reactions 🙏 an album I think you should check out is Thrak by King Crimson. I know it's been a bit since you've done a KC reaction and rightfully so, need variety, but this is from their 90s era where it had it's biggest studio lineup to date, 6 members. The album is like a mix of the heaviness of the 70s like the Red Album and a mix of the playful and experimental writing from 80s albums. Check it out if you'd like!
