Nice job. I've been repairing all my torches for about 5 years and have an "old torch graveyard" & it has about 80 scrap torches people have given me for parts. Keep up the good work
@SITnLO
Thank you for this !! Just repaired one thanks to you. 4 more to go. Glad I kept them and didn't just toss them in the trash.

Amazing! I didn't want to throw away one of my favorite torches (best design, most rugged, easiest to use, best value) after the piezo electric igniter switch started failing, and so I searched a bit for a repair guide for my O'Reilly Auto Parts PTW2002 butane torch. I couldn't find any diagrams or how-to's on tearing them down and repairing them correctly, until I found these two videos! It's the same EXACT design of the Blazer ES-1000, and 9 years later, is probably far cheaper (< $20) than what the OP paid for his Blazer back then. Thank you, brother, for posting these videos. I'll definitely be able to keep my torch working far into the foreseeable future now, instead of it being cursed and cast into the great torch graveyard in the sky (aka dumpster)...

I got the Scripto piezo lighters at Walmart.One thing to consider (forgot to mention in the video) is that the wire on the scripto is aluminum...very difficult to solder unless you have the right type of flux.I do a lot of different types of brazing and soldering in my shop so I have a variety of flux but make sure you get some flux designed for soft soldering aluminum !

Can you show us how to solder the two wires together and then add the tubing? We have 5 blazers that need new ignitors.

I also have to do something like this
@akaDeno
What is the T handle tool called? I can't get the front removed from my Blazer to replace it. Tried 2 small flatheads but still can't get that to loosen any. I need one of those T handle tools!
@ericaleach1859
I did that and it will only light one or two times. What else could it be? I cant find any other videoes with this issue.
