What actually happened is one of the stage hands told JD they were going to go to a fade which they did not. So wasnt his fault but the stage hand.

I've always considered these guys bluegrass royalty ever since the first Bluegrass Band album came out. Mostly traditional with a little extra thrown in for flavor. The best.

You could say it was better as Christine's Tune--which has a story to it as well related to Laurel Canyon in the 60s. Nonetheless this would become the "greatest" 2nd generation Bluegrass Band because of the wide distribution and near flawless versions of the classics. Who could want more? I'm more surprised that they actually did much performing--and even went as far as to perform with Tony Rice on guitar and not doing vocals, which is a tribute to just how great a Bluegrass stylist he is. Think how hard that must be for him not to be able to sing.
