I was station oversea at RAF Mildenhall 1988 to 1991, when Bob Hope did his last USO show tour. He stopped at Mildenhall. He was great. I have lot of photos of him and the show. also when he was leaving have photos of him getting into the car that was escorting him around. He one of the best entertainer in the world. My daughter got to meet him at the Rec Center there. she was only five, my wife did not have a camera. Bob Hope is one of those who thinks of everyone in uniform that need a bit of home brought to them. To make their time overseas that much easier. Especially during the holidays. We love and miss you Bob Hope.

I agree. Johnny was smart. As a talk show host, he would know that the only bad guest was one that had nothing to say. That wasn't Bob. So I agree it's BS or at least overblown that Johnny hated Bob Hope.
