I'm Jamaican and this is the song that made Bob Marley a hero in my eyes. In 1976 when it was getting regular airplay on WLIB, I was 16 years old living in the Bronx, a borough in NYC, in the USA, and understood the injustices against my brothers and sisters in South Africa. Racism is perpetually perpetrated by the zionist cabal,divide and conquer,bob marley despised the zionist cabal and rightly so there evil is beyond psychopathic.

Andy Hague Naa that's not correct .. Babylon is the racist mechanism, Zion is the promised land ..The song's lyrics concern Marley's Rastafarian beliefs, coupled with an anti-violence message. Zion is "the promised land," which for Rastafarians is the African country of Ethiopia. The lion refers to the Lion of Judah, which appears on the Ethiopian flag and represents Haile Selassie I, the former Ethiopian emperor that Rastas regard as their Messiah... that is about iron lion Zion song
@acidpunk69

Andy Hague In Rastafari, "Zion" stands for a utopian place of unity, peace and freedom, as opposed to "Babylon", the oppressing and exploiting system of the materialistic modern world and a place of evil.

One love Bob Marley is and Bob Marley was an inspiration to Micheal Jackson the two met in Jamaica and the Jackson five spent time at Bob Marley's home. Bob was an inspiration to Michael Jackson to create his own songs, especially, "Heal the World" and "We are the World". Bob Marley was also an inspiration to Stevie Wonder, with his songs "Master Blaster". There are so many artists that Bob Marley was an inspiration to including Marvin Gaye with songs like "What's going on" Mercy Mercy me. Breaking out of their commercial mold and reaching into their souls 🙏 to acknowledge God and humanity's need for spiritual awakening. Bob was not a commercial Artists Bob Marley was a Spiritual Leader in the music industry still bringing many more musicians to acknowledge God within and the power thereof. Bob Marley is a King and a Priest in the Kingdom of God working through the music industry to unite people as God's creations ❤️ that are to worship and love God and to Love one another, to live, love and be happy. May both Bob Marley and Michael Jackson rest in their eternal peace.❤
