My first concert was Seger in 83 or 84 (can’t remember). Lord, I love this man. He had already cut his long hair by then, but it was still on his shoulders. This man has a HUGE catalog. There is a live version in San Francisco of him singing HOLLYWOOD NIGHTS that really showcases his energy and their talents as a band.

@@watchbizmatik I started by just requesting MY favorite Seger songs on reactor channels. I’d always get replies that I had forgotten someones favorite song. So I just kept adding to the list. 🤔 Uncle Bob has a lot of fans. And it appears every one of them has a different favorite song. 😂 The 2 song medley at the top of the list are most often requested. Both “Travelin Man” and “Beautiful Loser” reflect Bob’s skill in using a few words to paint a vivid picture. And the bridge between the two from the live performance highlight the skills of the Silver Bullet Band. I strongly recommend that. Otherwise, look at the adjectives, and see what sounds ok for you. Guaranteed someone will say Seger has better songs, but also guaranteed you be doing someone’s favorite. Thanks for reading and responding to my list. ✌🏽

You can't go wrong with Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band, so many gems in their collection of songs. Although it's a short song, you ought to take a listen to "Main Street".

If you've never heard KISS (1970s also to present) they have A BUNCH of classic songs!! KISS ALIVE II ( album)- "Detroit Rock City", "Shock me", "Love Gun", "Beth" ( studio verision is best). BTW Keep up the great Vids even if you don't do any of these! ;-)

Bob Seger grew up worshipping James Brown. Funk & Soul runs way deep in his early music, and this was probably his last openly funk inspired track. Check out "Heavy Music (Pt. 1), and "East Side Story" from the album "Heavy Music: The Complete Cameo Recordings 1966-1967"

I rate Katmandu as rockin’ and one of the great stutter songs. “Nutbush City” is a cover of Tina Turner’s song, but Bob does it very, very well. I don’t think they ever sang it together. And that would have been killer. Especially live.

The silver bullet band didn't think it was fun. They couldn't play this song nowhere near as good as the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section did on the recording. That caused a lot of disappointed fans who expected to hear the greatness that could only come from the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section but they stopped touring in 1974 when they returned to Studio work after two tours with Steve Winwood and Traffic.
