Another well-done video, Jerry. Always loved Bobbie Gentry’s soulful music. We visited Las Vegas and Bobbie Gentry and Richard Pryor happened to be appearing at the Sahara. My dad took my and my sister’s photo in front of the big sign with their names. Thanks again, Jerry. Hope your daughter is doing well.

Back in 1977 and 1978, I was fortunate enough to have been hired by Bobbie Gentry, to play in her production shows in Las Vegas. In '77, we were at the Fontier Hotel We played two, hour-and-a-half shows per night, 7- nights a week. Al Alvarez conducted the orchestra. Norm Crosby was the commedian on the show. In '78, we were at the Aladdin Hotel and Jim Stafford performed with Bobbie there. Al gambino conducted the orchestra. When the shows at the Aladdin Hotel ended, that was the last time I saw Bobbie. She was a marvelous person to know and her talent was unequalled, for her ability to perform with spectacular professionalism. Her personality was always bright, positive and cheerful. I've never worked for a more wonderful star in the music business than Bobbie Gentry.
